First and most likely is that you have an AudioUnit installed that is unusable or requires anti-piracy software that is not installed. What you can do is remove all the files from these two locations: Add them back one or two at a time and run Intuem with each batch. This will help identify which one(s) cannot be used.

When you run AIM, it looks for the library libstdc++-lib6.1-1.so.2. However, the latest Debian version doesn't come with this file by default, it comes with a newer version. You need to softlinking the new file to the old filename though: ln -s /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2

There is certainly something wrong with your classpath. Clear your CLASSPATH environment variable and be sure to remove all the libraries which use the W3C's DOM bindings from jre/lib/extbefore running any of the Batik's applications.

Omnigraph 3.1a included OLE support, to allow graphs to be exported to other applications. Unfortunately this has meant that unless the application has been run by an Administrative user that can write to the registry first, it does not register its OLE support correctly, causing the application to not run when accessed by a non-administrative user. A free upgrade from 3.1a to 3.1b is now available which overcomes this issue for local machine installs.

There is a rare problem with version 1.48 which causes a crash on some machines. Try downloading the latest version. Otherwise, the ASPI layer on your system may not be functioning properly. Uninstall all versions of MP3 CD Burner and restart your computer. We recommend trying the new ASPI 4.7 drivers which work on all systems, including Win2000 & WinXP! The Windows OpenAL implementation still needs a lot of work. At the current time, Windows NT is not well (if at all) supported by OpenAL, although Windows 95, 98 and 2000 seem to work OK. You can play Chromium on NT with sound disabled by using the '-na' command line option. (edit the START.BAT file, and add -na after chromium)

This could be caused by any number of things but the most frequent cause is that UOAM is not correctly locating UO's data files. Before you try anything else, try starting UOAM with the -a command line option. (See this entry if you need to know how to enter a command line option.) That will let you tell UOAM exactly where your UO client is located.

When using ProblemTracker Version 4.0.1 with Oracle, there is a known issue when running a saved query that is sorted by a Date field. To fix this issue, install the latest version of ProblemTracker. The latest version of ProblemTracker can be found here.

You can stop the program at any time. When you restart the program it will pick up right where it left off. However, if your computer is not on most of the time, progress could be painfully slow. The program also writes save files every half hour. Thus, if your computer crashes you will lose no more than a half hour's work.

Ethereal is built using the GTK+ toolkit, which supports most UNIX-flavored OSes, and also supports Windows. Windows versions of Ethereal before 0.9.14 were built with an older version of that toolkit, which didn't support 256-color mode on Windows - it required HiColor (16-bit colors) or more. Nasty problem this, there is now way to fix a corrupt .max file. Although it is usually possible to recover some, if not all, of the scene by merging it into a new file. Also, if you haven't had any other scenes open, there may be a working copy of the file saved in the max autoback directory located in the directory Max was installed in. Note that in some versions of Max (4 for example), the files are saved with the extension .mx and in others they are saved as .max (5 for example).

Are you running Add Ins such as Snag It or Plaxo? Any Coms? Add Ins that are not compatible with Outlook 2003 cause the program to crash. Also, running Terminal Services on the PC can cause Outlook to crash. To check for Add Ins and Coms, from your Outlook menu bar click on Tools, the Other tab, then Advanced Options. Also, try using the event viewer to troubleshoot this problem. To get to your event viewer, click on the start button, scroll to run, and then type in eventvwr at the prompt.

Are the compiler's run-time libraries re-entrant? Can I call library functions from an interrupt? A: Depending on which compiler you're using, yes. If the compiler implements reentrant functions at all, then the library is fully reentrant except for the rand() function, which uses a static variable. The compilers that don't support reentrancy are those with a compiled stack, i.e. 6805, PIC, V8 and 8051 in small and medium models. The 8051 in large model is reentrant.

The program you used to download it may have downloaded it incorrectly. Web browsers and download accelerators sometimes may do this. Wget, for which Windows binaries are available from Christopher Lewis or wGetGUI, which offers a GUI interface that uses wget; the ftp command that comes with Windows. If you use the ftp command, make sure you do the transfer in binary mode rather than ASCII mode, by using the binary command before transferring the file.

You may not have enough memory (either conventional or extended) to run the program. Free up some memory and try again. NOTE: To the best of my knowledge, the garbage messages were only present in old versions of D2_3DFX. v1.02b and up display these error messages correctly.

Of course there are many reasons that a program may crash, but a common reason is that the stack size is too small. If your program crashes as soon as you begin to execute it (I mean instantly!), this may be the problem.
