We are interested in collecting the following types of material that document air and space flight: diaries, journals, scrapbooks, flyers and pamphlets, annual reports, correspondence, technical manuals, trade catalogs, reports, minutes from meetings, newsletters, engineering drawings, maps and charts. Non-print media such as photographs, negatives, film, videotapes and audiotapes are also valuable in documenting the history of aerospace.

In general, we are interested in everything an anthropologist creates, plus items that illuminate his or her public career and private life. We also collect materials that facilitate anthropological research that have been created by other professionals (such as linguists and ethnohistorians).

No. Archival material is, by definition, unique and irreplaceable. It cannot be lent out in the same way that library material is borrowed. When researchers visit the City of Regina Archives, staff will find the material for you and will advise you of the proper handling methods for archival material. Due to age, archival records are often delicate and fragile. For the safety of the records, records may not leave the City of Regina Archives.

Yes. Staff will be happy to make photocopies of textual records held by the City of Regina Archives. The City of Regina Archives also has a microfilm reader that allows copies to be made of any microfilm material. Traditional photocopies are available for 25 cents a copy; and photocopies of microfilm material are available for 50 cents per copy. Archives staff can also arrange for prints to be made of any photographic material held by the City of Regina Archives.

The Archives include faculty publications and college history. The Special Collection includes rare and unusual material. Hours are posted on the door or a reference librarian may help you. Flora Nyland is the library archivist (Room 15).
