Peer reviewers are selected based on the types of manuscripts that we receive. If a manuscript arrives that matches your background and topics of interest, then we will contact you. We will try not to ask you to review more than two manuscripts per year.

If your manuscript is rejected, you will be given access to the Editor’s and Reviewers’ comments. The Editor will then give you options for a further course of action.

Yes. GEO records may remain private until a manuscript describing the data is published (journal publication is not a requirement for data submission to GEO). During the submission process you are prompted to specify a release date for your records.

Log in and select "Manuscript Listing" followed by "Reviewer." You should then see a list of all manuscripts you have reviewed. You can select "new" (from the manuscript status filter) and select "refilter" to view only the new manuscript. Selecting the manuscript's tag number on the left will bring up the details on the mansucript. You can download the manuscript and decide whether or not you can review it.

Your Reviewer Center contains a list of all manuscripts you are responsible for reviewing. At the far right under the Corresponding Author's name is a button named "Review". Clicking this button will bring you to a screen entitled "Instructions for Reviewers". Follow the prompts given and enter your scores and review of the manuscript where indicated.

Early in the semester we usually have the list of corrections ready within five working days. If you submit during the week before deadline week, the review will take two weeks; during deadline week, it may take up to three weeks. You will have at least one week to make corrections. Return to Top

With high probability, you replied to the e-mail which requested your reviewing services, but did not go to the website to enter your "yes" or "no" reply. The action editor who requested you as a reviewer received your e-mail but forgot (or has not yet had a chance) to update the website. You have three options: 1. go to the web site (as per the instructions in the original e-mail) and select "yes" or "no" indicating your willingness to review. 2.

Many publishers send us all of their books on Japan or send us those we request. The editors also help in identifying new books for review. We cannot review all new books on Japan, nor can we always find suitable and willing reviewers for all of the books we would like to review. We generally will not ask someone who has been thanked by an author or quoted on the dust jacket to review that particular book. Potential reviewers are identified by our editors and advisors.

If your protocol has been selected for public review, and if you have completed your submission at least eight weeks before the next RAC meeting, your protocol will be reviewed at the next meeting. If the next RAC meeting is less than eight weeks away, public discussion of your protocol will be deferred until the following RAC meeting to allow sufficient time for the review process.

Yes. If you are not selected, you will receive information from us about how and when to schedule an appointment to review your application and file.

Messages are automatically selected for review if they violate a policy. In addition, organizations can enable random sampling to help an organization identify problems that would otherwise be missed. This can be an important step in helping to continually improve the corporate messaging policy.

Submit a quote request. Please let us know who you are, how we can contact you, which editing service you need, how many words your document contains, and when you need the document completed. After approving the quote sent to you, attach your document in an e-mail to the editor who contacted you.

Queries consisting of synopsis/outline/etc. will usually be responded to within a week. Full manuscripts will take longer to review. We are a small operation and are usually overwhelmed with submissions--don't be surprised if you don't hear anything for 6 months or more.

Usually within 48 hours after you submit a manuscript to us, you will receive an email that acknowledges receipt of your submission. Due to fluctuations in submissions, time lines for review could vary. You should receive a response from us within 60-90 days. After 90 days, you are invited to send us a follow-up email inquiring about the status of your manuscript's review.

Both you and your sponsor can expect to receive a letter of notification no later than September 7, 2007.

The OAC assigns all applications to a review team considering area of expertise, geographic location, avoidance of conflicts of interest, diversity, and a balance of academic and community experts and leaders. Each review team will have a mix of faculty and community partners to the extent possible. Three reviewers are assigned to each proposal and at least one reviewer is an expert in the primary health or system priority addressed in the proposal.

Manuscripts - Generally consists of unpublished"primary source" material comprised of historical and literary collections of personal papers. These include diaries, journals, letters, notebooks, typescripts and manuscripts. Other manuscript collections encompass corporate records, political, cultural, and economic archives, oral histories, handwritten maps and graphic material, and miscellaneous papers. The Manuscripts Collections also contain primary source material in 20th century music.

Consumer Reviewer selection is accomplished through a three-step process. First, nominations are solicited from disease-related advocacy organizations across the country. These organizations may include support groups or those with educational outreach, health care, or policy-focused missions. In order to ensure that Consumer Reviewers represent the concerns of the community rather than individual interests, no self-nominations are allowed.

The UW School of Medicine and Public Health OAC carefully selects and approves all external reviewers who have an established history in community and public health through a call for reviewers throughout Wisconsin.
