A. The cheat system can be turned on within the settings menu. Once turned on, when you launch a compatible game, you will be asked if you want to turn on cheats. If you turn them on, you can choose from 300 various cheats. Using the Evolution Tools (found on the official site), you can add your own cheats.

A. The CycloDS Evolution works on all models of Nintendo DS including DS Classic (aka Phat), DS Lite and the iQue.

A. No, it is not required to flash your DS to use the CycloDS Evolution - It has a "passme" device built in. I still recommend you flash your DS to protect the firmware. Malware (like viruses, trojans, etc) are possible on the DS (and have been released twice since it was possible to do so). These malware programs can brick your DS if your DS isn't flashed to protect the firmware. A. Yes, it does.

A. Kinda. There are a couple of open source/homebrew browsers that are, politically said, in their infancy. They won't support, say, Gmail or any other "real" websites. However, the developers are hard at work on the issue and we're likely to see something usable in the next year or two. On the other hand, Opera (my personal favorite browser on the PC) has a commercial product for the Nintendo DS. It comes on a standard DS cartridge and includes a RAM expansion pack for the Slot 2 on your DS.

A. Yes. There is an item on the setttings menu that you can toggle through all 4 birghtness settings of the DS Lite. If you turn on Enhanced Mode (early firmwares only - latest firmwares Enhanced Mode is always on), you can also change the brightness DURING game play by freezing the game with L+R+A+B+X+Y and changing the brightness and returning to the game. A. Yes, and it does it WITHOUT pre-patching the game image.

A few games appear to have issues with the Enhanced Mode (which allows you to halt the game and return to the main menu, etc). Team Cyclops aggressively fixes these issues. A. I tested numerous "problem" games with this card and all seemed to run just fine on standard memory. Tom & Jerry's music stutters a bit on the slot selection screen, but not during the game.

A. No. This is not possible until an actual GBA emulator comes out of the DS, which doesn't appear to be coming anytime soon. If you want GBA emulation, you will need to look to a supplimental card for your CycloDS Evolution . I recommend the M3 line or see if Team Cyclops has implemented the GBA linking to their Slot 2 product. You may also consider the EZ Flash 3 in 1 expansion device which works well with GBA games.

A. There are emulators for some of these platforms, but none other than NES are really worth discussing. The NES emulator is great and plays a lot of games. The card does not have this emulation built in like Supercard and other slot 2 cards have. You will have to get the emulator and get it working on your own. NESDS now supports DLDI. Check it out.

A. This depends on how big of a memory card (microSD/transflash/microSDHC) you have as well as how big the games are. Currently the largest Nintendo DS game is 128MB (megabytes, not bits) which means that on a 1GB microSD card, you can get about 9 of these games. However, this size of game is rare and you will most likely be able to fit about 30-50 games of various sizes on a 1GB card. Most people asking this question are really asking "how big of a memory card should I get?' ..

One way is with additional hardware. You will need a slot 2 device such as a Supercard SD to use the incredible tool REINMOON to backup save games from a real DS. See my video here. The second is to use something called SAVE SENDER (find a tutorial here). It isn't easy and you need working wifi setup, but it DOES work. Finally, you can use a new tool called NDS Backup Tool (which does both SAV files and ROM backups). Check out my comprehensive tutorial here.

A. Yes. There is a menu item on the CycloDS Evolution screen to boot to the Slot 2 cart - although it is not available on the first menu - you have to choose the right-most icon to launch the settings. You can also boot RIGHT to the Slot 2 device by holding UP on the D-Pad when booting the CycloDS Evolution.

A. While the Supercard (and most slot 1 flashcarts) uses significantly more power than a real DS cart, the CycloDS Evolution card is comparable. So, using the CycloDS Evolution is similar in battery use to a real DS cart. Independant tests show you will get about 91% of your normal battery life using the CycloDS Evolution vice a real DS card. If you change games a lot, you will use less power by using the CycloDS Evolution's in game reset instead of cycling power every time.

You can cheat all games that are running under Windows95 / 98, no matter if they are Win95/98/2000, Win 3.x or MSDOS games. The only condition is: you must be able to switch from the game to an other task (to GameCheater). You can switch to an other application by using the Alt+Tab keys or the GameCheater Fast Switch hotkey (therefore you have to load GameCheater first and then your game).

A. The CycloDS Evolution is a Nintendo DS/DS Lite flash cartridge. It's purpose is to allow you to play homebrew application and games, music, movies and backups of commercial games on your DS. It plugs into Slot 1 on the DS and is the same size as a regular DS game cartridge.

A. The CycloDS Evolution features 2MB of onboard flash memory that holds the entire CycloDS Evolution interface and utilities. This means you don't have to store any files on the microSD card for the CycloDS Evolution operating system. The flash memory has a recovery mode that will allow you to recover it if a firmware upgrade goes bad.

A. The CycloDS Evolution uses a microSD (also known as Transflash) card which is the popular memory card used in modern cell phones. The CycloDS Evolution also supports micrSDHC which allows up to 32GB (at time of writing) in your card! I have personally tested it up to 4GB with no issues (including slowdowns).

A. Also known as save states or snapshots, RTS functionality allows a user to pause a game and save it at that exact location and reload the "snapshot" at any time. Once turned on, launch your favorite game while holding down SELECT. The screen will let you know that RTS is being enabled (which involves the cart making a RTS file on your card - they are about 4MB, so keep that in mind).

ArtMoney is not intended for multiplayer or online games. ArtMoney allows you to change values stored on your PC. Whether ArtMoney works in multiplayer/online-games or not depends on where the user-data is stored (if it is stored on the server PC or if it is stored on your PC). If the user-data is stored on the server PC then the server holds the actual values. The values on your PC are just local copies of the user-data.

A. The CycloDS Evolution is 100% compatible with major homebrew applications that support the DLDI patching process - which is most of the bigger, most desirable homebrew including DSOrganize, Moonshell, etc. The CycloDS Evolution features on-board real time DLDI patching - so there is no need to pre-patch homebrew. Just drop the homebrew on the card and run.

A. Sort of. You can ONLY play DPG/DSM formatted movies on the DS. These are very unique formats and while there is some content preconverted out there, you should expect to convert all your own content. Honestly, the DS is NOT a good device for playing movies (MP3s, sure, but not movies). The reason is, the playback isn't great, the picture isn't great and I've found problems with playing back long, large content like movies.

A. Currently via the homebrew application Moonshell (which is available as a prepatched download for the CycloDS Evolution on their web site) you can play most popular formats including MP3, OGG and WAV. The quality of playback is very good and the DS works pretty well for this sort of convergance task.

A. Yes you can. Using the awesome homebrew application DSOrganize, you can comfortably view BMP/JPG/PNG/GIF/RAW formats. The DS memory is fairly small, so I wouldn't be looking at 10 megapixel images on it, but if you want to throw together some photo galleries for friends and family, it's possible. There are other image viewer applications which buck a lot of flash and style, but they require the images get converted into a "bundle" file first.

There are tools to assist you in skin creation. As of V1.2 beta, you can have and toggle through mutliple skins on the CycloDS. A. It looks and feels like a regular DS cart. The chip inside pushes the case out slightly (on earlier builds - the latest ones do not), but it works very well. Occassionally, when the card comes out of the DS, it sticks a little - but it doesn't require much to get it out. You aren't even likely to notice it. A.

A. Thanks to some clever programming, you can - but it isn't easy. I've created a walkthrough on how to do it. You can find it here. You will have to have a working "homebrew" compatible wifi connection (this is the method I show you in the walkthrough) or a slot2 solution.

A. I've only dealt with US dealers personally. I recommend Jandaman.com, RealHotStuff.com and ModChipStore.com. If you need to import one, you could try PlayAsia.com - they are a reliable importer. I'll add other dealers I find reputable.

A. Yes. The microSD card format can be in FAT or FAT32, allowing most major operating systems to access them.

A. The CycloDS Evolution supports a multi-lingual interface. Several languages are currently available.

A. Get the latest firmware update from the Team Cyclops site. Copy the file to the root of your microSD card. Boot your CycloDS Evolution and it will start the firmware update automatically. Download the firmware to the computer first, extract it and then COPY it to the microSD (vice downloading directly or uncompressing directly to the microSD card). Get a dedicated, small known compatible microSD card and keep it on hand JUST for doing firmware ugrades.

The cheat search can only be used to search and modify values in the RAM areas, i.e., you can change your number of lives, money and life bar and you can freeze the value to get "infinite" result. To use it, enter the cheat search dialog and start a new search (or reset any previous search). If you have 5 lives, select equal on the comparison type, make sure Specific value is selected, click on entered value, type 5 on the value to search and then click search.

Yes and no. You can backup your originals with "Magickey Tools". But you can?t use this backup with Neoflash cause it has to be patched.
