Your files can be saved with incremental numbers. You can request the header part of a file name on your order form.

On your Win 95/98/NT PC, you can read files from the CD-R or CD-RW as normal CD. No special software is needed.

Compact disk recording opens up many possibilities. Obviously, archiving software is one of them. Another is being able to record audio. In my studio, I've placed a lot of important material on analog tape; and, unlike the diskette situation, there is no doubt of the imminent danger of degradation. Burning the audio to CD would maintain the original quality, with the added bonus of random access. CDR also opens up business opportunities.

Images stored on a CD are done so in a digital format that will not deteriorate over time, unlike printed images. Further, CD's are non-magnetic and are not prone to file damage that can occur to images stored on a floppy disk. Kept in the right environment, CD's are estimated to have a shelf life of 25 years or more.

Versions 6.1.0.1110 and above have a file named viewer.bat on the root directory of the CD. That file starts the viewer for recorded video. On version 6.0.1.0410 and below you need to go to your CD drive, and then go to DISStech, then Bin. Under the Bin directory is a file called DISSViewer.exe. Run the file to view your video.

You will first need to convert the FLAC files to another format that your burning program is familiar with. Windows users can use the FLAC Frontend, to convert FLAC files to WAV files, which are suitable for burning programs. For Macintosh OS X users, Dan Greuel has created a tool called MacFLAC.

Or, another good tool is Foobar2000 - make sure you get the "Special" version to have Shorten compatibility!

You can use Folder Guard to restrict access to the CD-ROM or floppy drive, but that would not encrypt the files on the CD or floppy disk. It means that if you take the CD or floppy to another computer, without Folder Guard installed on it, the disc or floppy would NOT be protected. If you want to protect the removable drive so that it would be protected even if you remove it from your computer, you need some sort of encryption software to do that. (Folder Guard does NOT do encryption.)

There is a burgeoning library of CD-ROM releases. History of the World from Library Reference is a case in point. discPassage is a PC/Mac interface program which lets a user access text, pictures, and sound tracks on CD's which employ a discPassage database. Typically, dP products carry the digital data disc symbol and are labelled "for Mac or multi-media PC" with Mac and PC versions of discPassage included on-disc.

The most recent 10 versions of each file backed up are stored for 90 days; files deleted from your computer are also retained for 90 days. Files you de-select from your backup set are retained for 30 days.

We provide master calibration files for most exposure common time on our FTP server. We provide dark frames, bias and flats. Cooling is set year around at -10C on AREO2-7 using SBIG cameras and -25C on our FLI cameras on AREO1. AREO8's STL11000M is set to -20C.

Answer. Create a temporary folder and copy all of your valued files into it. These should probably include the data, macros, plots, trades, and lists subfolders of the current FDC main folder. Then ninstall FDC using Windows control panel, reinstall FDC, and then copy your files back.

Except for the master APD file, all supporting workbooks can be saved with different names to make match your vessel's file naming structure.  In fact, you can have multiple workbooks saved under different names.   However, this should be kept to a minimum in order to make the suite of workbooks easier to manage. Tip:  If you find that you are frequently changing the Broker names on the US Crew List, save the file under different names: US_West_CrewList.

The default location for saving audio files is ???c:\temp???. On Mac OS X, the Java applet will create a folder name 'c\temp' on your hard disk.

MHonArc uses the Content-Type field in messages to determine the type of data that is being processed. If data is gettings saved to a ".bin" file, it means the data has a content-type of application/octet-stream. The best solution to the problem is have the senders of the messages label the data properly. You can also check out the m2h_external::filter options documented in the MIMEFILTERS page of the documentation for some alternate solutions.

Go to the Main Menu, click on the previous files button. Double-click on the file you want to print. The program will open the Profile page. Print this file by clicking on the Print Results button at the top of this page.

Digital Class software allows presentations to be saved in JPEG, BMP, and DCF file formats. DCF stands for "Digital Class File". These files can then be shared and viewed on any computer. The next software version will allow files to be saved as HTML files. Back to Top

The uploaded files are saved in a directory in the same computer where the ASP code is running. When you install the script, you specify that directory through the 'uploadsDirVar' variable. This variable must indicate the pathname of a directory with writing permissions for the web server. Usually, the hosting company has documentation about this. You can also just contact them and ask them. You should be able to use shared drives, depending on the configuration of the web server.

We save all scanned output in the Abobe PDF (Portable Document) Format. This is the both the standard document format on the Internet, and the best format for transfers between PC and Macintosh computers. PDF files are ideal when you want to exchange documents while keeping the same layout. There are also no restrictions within the limits of different operating systems.

Before ripping CDs to audio files, you can configure the output audio files' settings including CBR, VBR, Maximum Bitrate, Minimum Bitrate, Quality, Channels, Output Folder. You may enter the options dialog from "Tools > Options ..."

These tours are designed totally on the web to be as flexible and as accessible as possible. We can however convert it to be self-contained so that they can be viewed without the use of the internet and can be stored on disk etc. We do these on an individual basis, just ask. And of course, you can make as many copies as you like.

In OS 8 and 9, 3D scenes are saved in the Scenes folder of the GollyGee Blocks directory and snapshots are saved in the Snapshots folder of the GollyGee Blocks directory. This cannot be changed, though we hope to add that functionality in the future. In OS X, a directory called GollyGee Blocks Scenes is created in the users Documents directory and the 3D scenes are saved there. Snapshots are saved in the GollyGee Blocks Snapshots folder of the Pictures folder of the users home directory.

When you save script files, you are prompted with a save dialog. Default folder for all the script files is Auto Mouse's install folder\Scripts\. The default Auto Mouse's install folder is \Program Files\Auto Mouse\.

Those files are saved in the Render Farm Path defined in Tools > Options > Paths dialog, from the application window (default is /tmp on POSIX platforms). Whenever you click on the Render preview button, a directory named k3d-preview-NNN is created, where NNN is the number of the directory. There you'll find RIB file in frame000001 sub-directory, as well as log files.

When the harvester saves records, it places each record in a single file, which is named using the OAI identifier associated with the record that was harvested. Reserved characters such as the colon ':' are encoded using hexadecimal values in order to ensure the file name is valid on the file system. For example, if the OAI identifier for a given harvested record is oai:dlese.org:123-ABC, the file will be named oai%3Adlese.org%3A123-ABC.xml.
