The Amiga stores part of the OS in a ROM and the rest on hard disk. You need to transfer both of these parts to the emulator in order to run software that uses the OS. It is best to have your OS on a separate partition than the rest of your data. This results in less fragmentation and ensures speedy operation of your system.
