The Language Screening within TestAS serves to interpret the results achieved in the core test and the subject-specific test. Most of the teaching at German universities is done in German. However, if you do not know any German yet, you might want to take a close look at the newly established undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate degree programmes in English and in German mentioned in Q 1.

This depends upon the program you choose. If you want to apply to an NYU exchange program in Berlin or Vienna, you must have successfully completed Intermediate German II or the equivalent by the time you begin the exchange. We recommend that you also, if possible, take at least one post-intermediate course, such as Conversation & Composition or Germany: 1989 & Beyond, to prepare yourself adequately for these exchange programs.

Obviously a poor performance in an exam or exercise will be a good indication. But, the time to get assistance in a course may be when you feel that you are not quite grasping the material. The earlier you recognize you need the better. Utilize your instructors' office hours. Take advantage of the tutoring and study skills help at the Broward Teaching Center (392-2010).
