Big Mountain Ski Resort is located approximately 8 miles from the Lodge, and the drive up the mountain, with its spectacular views of Whitefish Lake, is well worth it in any season. (Not to be confused with Big Sky Ski Resort which is located 8 hours south of us.)

Discovery Ski Area is about 30 miles from the resort. Driving time will depend on weather conditions.

The Elk Highlands homesites are just 1.3 miles from the Big Mountain village area and 7 miles from downtown Whitefish.

Snowbird’s Cliff Lodge is ski-in, ski-out. The Lodge at Snowbird, the Inn, and the Iron Blosam are within walking distance of the tram and chairlifts.

Yes. In fact we have one of the best ski-in/ski-out locations on the hill with access to two chair lifts (Black Forest and the Bullet). After a snowfall if you get going early enough you'll always be sure to carve fresh tracks through champaign powder in the Black Forest. All this, with unbeatable views of the Monashee Mountains and valley!

If you've chosen an activity-oriented vacation like skiing, make sure the resort has an age- and skill- appropriate ski program (including small sizes in rental gear) for each child, so that better skiers can have time to themselves on the mountain. If you can book ski in/ski out accommodations at the foot of a mountain, it will save a lot of wear n' tear on the kids.

Rainbow Mountain is conveniently located on Ski Run Boulevard on the way to Heavenly. Ski area access is approximately one half mile up the street.

Canada is our northern neighbor, with Calgary about 5 hours away and Fernie about 1? hrs. Please keep in mind when crossing the border that you must have a drivers license and birth certificate and/or passport.

Most of the fishing we do is within 15 minutes of the lodge. Our boats are fast, comfortable and stable fishing machines which can whisk you to the fishing areas. If things are a bit slow or if fishermen wish a change of scenery, it is only 20 minutes from the lodge across the inlet, or 45 minutes to the permit area near the head of the inlet.

We do often book one full year in advance, however, dates are open throughout the year and the best thing to do is simply contact us as soon as the date of the special occasion or conference has been chosen to see about availability.

Tongariro National Park is located 1 hour south of Taupo and has 3 magnificent volcanoes in the area. The largest, Mount Ruapehu, has three ski fields on its slopes. Whakapapa and Turoa are New Zealand’s two largest, while the third (Tukino) is a smaller country orientated field.

It's not essential to be a qualified cook to work as a chalet girl, but it will be looked upon favourably when operators review your application. If however you want to work as a chef in a hotel, qualifications are a must. The same goes for ski instructor qualifications.

Using your randonnee bindings for all your skiing, resort and backcountry, is known as "one rig." The wisdom of using bindings as "one rig" depends on a few factors. If you're primarily doing laps using ski lifts you'll be covering an immense amount of vertical that places wear on the bindings they were not designed for. More, though the Fritschi toe release is adequate, it's not as highly engineered as the latest alpine bindings.

Still Waters Resort is approximately 6 miles from Branson, on Table Rock lak and approximately 2 Miles South of Silver Dollar City on Indian Point Road. For driving directions and distances, check out our area map.

It takes about 15 to 20 minutes by car or cab. Whichever road you take you'll enjoy views of the amazing lakes. No. Whilst it is a pleasant drive it really isn't walking distance. It's about an 8 to 10 minute drive along the main road.

Your proximity to the beach is usually indicated in the description of the resort or villa. "Beachfront" means right on the beach-walk out of your room, pass the pool with the swim-up bar, and you're stepping onto the sand. "Ocean view" means that there is a view of the ocean from your room, but the property may not be beachfront. "Walking distance to the beach" means you should be able to stroll to the beach in five minutes or less.

Weather depending, it is a 2 hour 15 minute to 3 hour drive from Anchorage to Soldotna B&B Lodge. It is a relatively easy drive on a well-maintained federal highway. There are some mountainous, curvy sections; however, the driving is not that difficult. It is an absolutely beautiful drive and if you have additional time, there are numerous places to stop along the way for sightseeing and photo taking.

Serenada Lodge, restaurant, conference centre and golf course is only 12 minutes from Rangiora and 40 minutes from Christchurch. Certainly not! The golf course is open to casual players for a small green fee and is popular with Canterbury locals keen to enjoy a round of golf and a lovely weekend lunch. We also have full bar facilities so you can relax with a cold beer after a round of golf!

Pa Ngam Mountain Lodge is located in Nadee district in Prachinburi province -- about 200 kilometers, or a two-and-a-half hour drive, from Bangkok. To be more specific, we're in Buphram sub-district, where during the rainy and winter, a sea of mist blankets the hills and valleys. For the past thirty years or so, Buphram has been home to a special type of chestnut plams, called a Lan tree in Thai, which thrives in the distinctive climate of the area.

From Manzanillo buses leave at 5:00, 8:15 and 17:00 hours. They pass at the Tree house about 10 minutes later, but can be earlier. This bus gets about 2 hours later in limon. In Puerto Viejo many more buses stop. To San Jose buses leave at: 7:00, 9:00, 11:00 and 16:00 hours. From San Jose to Puerto Viejo buses leave at the terminal de caribe or also know as Autotransportes Mepe. They leave at: 6:00, 10:00, 13:30 and 15:30 hours. From Puerto Viejo to the Tree House you will have to take a taxi.

We are just a two minute drive from the Guadalupe River and River Road. Most area outfitters (tube, raft & kayak rentals) are located along River Road.
