No, your Minden Master Gas Grill is manufactured to exact specifications and is certified for Liquid Propane (LP gas) use only. For your safety, conversion kits are not available. Any attempt to convert your grill is dangerous and will void your warranty. We will provide a Natural Gas version of the Grill if the market demands. Yes and No. Only North American made barbecues. The more specific answer is that you can definitely convert almost any barbecue over to another gas, but the cost will be dependent upon the type and brand of barbecue you have. Some manufacturers offer conversion kits that make things relatively simple. The least you will get away with is replacing the gas hose and the valves in addition to any fittings you need to connect everything together. Side-burners can further complicate matters.

Use a grill brush to clean off all leftover bits from the grates. (Your Grill comes with porcelain-coated grates; only use a brass bristle brush on them. Don't ever use the scraper that comes on standard grill brushes; over time, they will chip the porcelain.) Spray vegetable oil, like Pam, onto the Grill to loosen any remaining food that is stuck on the grates. The leftover food bits will drop into the Grill and burn up the next time you turn it on to pre-heat.

Sunshine Gas Grills are available in two different versions. The "LP" version comes with the required hose and regulator and properly sized orifices (the little gas jets) for LP gas. The "natural gas" version does not include a hose and regulator (they aren't required) and includes orifices sized for natural gas. If you already have a LP version and want to convert it for use with natural gas (or vice-versa), replacement natural gas orifices are available from your dealer at a cost of $19.

Check your Grill for these common causes: (CAUTION: Do not smoke around your Liquid Propane gas tank. It is highly FLAMMABLE.) Check your Liquid Propane (LP) gas supply. Lift the tank to determine its approximate weight. An empty Liquid Propane gas tank weights about 20 pounds. A full Liquid Propane tank weighs about 40 pounds. NO! Our propane patio heaters are designed, tested and approved for propane use only. Conversion kits are not available. Propane patio heater regulators supply 11" WC and natural gas requires 7" to 10" WC. Also, propane gas line tubing is made of copper and natural gas requires stainless steel.

Some log sets can be converted using a different pilot safety kit. Vent-free logs set come as a specific model for Natural or Propane.

Yes, NGK have recently (mid 2007) released 2 plugs which are designed to work more efficiently and last longer for LPG applications. The plugs feature a platinum chip in the ground electrode and a fine wire Iridium centre electrode. The thread and other metal parts are plated differently to reduce the possibility of a negative reaction to LPG. Part numbers are BKR6EIX-LPG and BPR6EIX-LPG, these will cover a large percentage of the UK car market.
