What are good books to read about Joe Jackson??

Joe Jackson Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend "Say it ain't so, Joe" by Donald Gropman and "Growing Up With 'Shoeless Joe'" by Joe Thompson as sources of information about Joe. We recommend "Eight Men Out" by Eliot Asinof as a source for information about the 1919 World Series. The best overall book on the scandal to date is "Burying the Black Sox" by Gene Carney. Carney did his research into the subject and this book is the result of that research.

Are your books connected in a series? Do I need to read them in a certain order?

Susan Wiggs
SW: Yes and no. Some of my books are loosely connected because they're about various members of a family. However, I know how crazy-making it is to have to collect and read things in a sequence, so I make sure each book stands alone. If you want to have all the titles and order of publication on one nice, neat form, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to me and I'll mail you the list. Mail to Susan Wiggs, Box 4469, Rollingbay WA 98061. SW: I do have stories for all of the above.

Will Joe Grey and Dulcie ever have kittens?

Shirley Rousseau Murphy
Joe and Dulcie aren't talking. Maybe the kit will have to remain the substitute for a litter--she's a pawful enough to keep them busy! Here is an explanation of flehming from www.peteducation.com: "When a cat smells something and then opens his mouth slightly, wrinkles his nose, and curls back his upper lip, he is exhibiting what is called the 'flehmen reaction' or 'flehming.

Ursula K. Le Guin: Answers to a Questionnaire (FAQ: Frequent...
People write me nice letters asking what order they ought to read my science fiction books in — the ones that are called the Hainish or Ekumen cycle or saga or something. The thing is, they aren't a cycle or a saga. They do not form a coherent history. There are some clear connections among them, yes, but also some extremely murky ones.

Realms of the Raven & FAQ
Although I am working on some series, they are all independent stories and can be read alone. There are also a few stand alone books that are not parts of any series. The Books page will list any series that a book belongs to and itā??s order in that series.

Sedonia Guillone & FAQ
All of my vampire books are interrelated. They each stand alone and donā??t really have to be read in order with maybe the exception of Darelleā??s Trinity and Valmontā??s Trinity, which picks up where DT leaves off. However, for readers who prefer either genre without the other, no problem reading them alone.

Q. Should the books be read in any order?

Welcome to the web site of best-selling author James W. Hall...
I've tried to write the Thorn novels in such a way that reading them in order isn't necessary. But Under Cover of Daylight is a useful book to read so you can understand how Thorn got to be the way he is. The other novels can also be read in any order. I know some readers simply can't do that and must read them in chronological order of publication. I understand that need, but I've tried hard to make each book stand independently.

Karen Kingsbury
Thank you for asking about the reading "order" of Karen's books. The "Redemption Series" was written before the "Firstborn Series" and there are five books and they introduce each of the family members. "Dayne" is introduced in the last book of the Redemption series. We learn that he is "famous" and his story continues in "Fame" which is the first book in the "Firstborn Series". This series is followed by the "Sunrise Series" and book one was just released on May 8th and is titled "Sunrise".

Do I have to read the Pirate series in order?

Jennifer Ashley, FAQ
No. While The Pirate Next Door and The Pirate Hunter are closely linked, The Care and Feeding of Pirates is more of a stand-alone. The hero of Care and Feeding, Christopher Raine, does not appear in the other two books, nor do any of the incidents described in it. The link is Honoria Ardmore, who appears briefly in The Pirate Hunter. I hadn't planned to write another Pirate book before I wrote Care & Feeding, but I wanted Honoria to have a happy ending!

Preferred, but not necessary. All of the books stand on their own. Yet, I would suggest reading in order the two with Eliza Blake as the main character. That would mean reading Do You Want to Know a Secret? before Close To You.
