That is entirely up to the student, depending upon his or her educational goals. The college career and advising center will be an excellent resource as will GMCHS teachers. Middle College students take all required state and district tests including Program Assessments and STAR9 and CAT6 tests. (We are proud to note that the API for GMCHS was the highest in the district last year!).

On average, Thacher students take 2-3 SAT II tests. Each student, based on his or her particular area of strength, and with the guidance of the counseling office can select their tests. For example, students who have completed Math III are ready to take the SAT II Math 2C. The Educational Testing Service (a branch of the College Board) will continue to provide sample tests in the Registration Bulletin; these tests are also available in the College Counseling office.

It is the student's responsibility to release test scores to colleges during the application process. To officially release SAT scores, you must call the College Board and request your scores to be sent to the colleges you indicate. You have the option of using an automated phone service (800-728-7267) or connecting with an operator (609-771-7600). You will need a credit card number and the college code numbers (which are found in the SAT I/II Registration Bulletin).

Princeton strongly recommends that applicants submit the results of three SAT II subject tests. Applicants who intend to pursue a B.S.E. degree should include among these either the Level I or Level II mathematics test and either the physics or chemistry test. About 750 undergraduate engineering students are enrolled at any one time, out of approximately 4500 total undergraduates at Princeton. Credit for AP courses will only be considered for students who have been formally admitted to Texas A&M University at Qatar. Yes, we will help your student prepare for both exams. We highly recommend that you contact us at least six weeks before the test so our tutors have enough time to help the student prepare. Although we only require one hour a week of tutoring, our experience has been that two hours a week for test prep is the most effective. The rate is the same as our hourly rates for all other subjects of tutoring.

No. SAT and ACT scores are not required to determine your eligibility to be admitted to a California community college, nor may they be used in lieu of community college assessment tests.

We only accept the standardized test scores that apply to college admissions - specifically, the ACT, SAT, PSAT or PLAN. Admission requirements to the Academy are the same for Columbus and the Regional campuses. All students, regardless of campus of enrollment, must meet the admissions requirements. Admission to the Academy does not guarantee admission to Ohio State after high school graduation.
