The alphabet is remarkably easy to memorize, taking most people about 2 hours just for the letters alone. (Contrast this to weeks or months to learn how to type on a typewriter; also 2 hours is roughly the same time it takes to learn Graffiti for the PalmPilot.

This completely depends on the person and circumstances. Some people have a lucid dream just a few nights after learning about it (without any specific effort), while some people can take months! If you don't get enough sleep or feel too stressed after work to try techniques, then it may take a long time, especially if you expect it to. It will also depend on how much effort you put in. However, everybody has the ability to dream lucidly.

You can be airborne in as little as three days. It all depends on your ability to learn the techniques involved in launching and flying. How long it takes, also depends on your background. If you are a licensed pilot, have paragliding or powered paragliding experience, or other aviation training, you may progress more quickly in certain parts of your training, since there are areas in your training that may be very similar. Three to four consecutive days of training are often adequate.

Generally, after 60 hours of classroom instruction a complete beginner can survive in the target language.

ANS: Since the Qwerty arrangement is not logical or intuitive, learning it is like learning non-sensical letter arrangements - requiring repetition and drill, for weeks and months. Truth is, Qwerty wasn’t designed for ease of learning.
