My child has difficulty carrying a heavy bag to school every day. How can the school help?

Welcome to Bo'ness Academy
The school is aware that pupils in the middle and senior school frequently have to carry a substantial number of books and jotters to and from school each day. To assist with this, pupils in S3 - S6 may have a locker to store their belongings in during the day. Pupils may access lockers only before Registration, at interval, lunch and at the end of the school day. They should access lockers before the warning bell.

What's a double-end heavy bag for?

Balazs Boxing Online - HELP : PRODUCT FAQS
A double-end bag does not swing as much. Many people prefer a double-end bag for kicking. Some also prefer one for punching--especially if they don't have a partner to hold the bag. The shock-cord that attaches the bottom of the bag to the floor can always be removed to allow the bag to swing freely.

How high should I hang my heavy bag?

Balazs Boxing Online - HELP : PRODUCT FAQS
Consider your heavy bag as your opponent. With that in mind, the bag should be high enough to deliver a blow to the "head", so the top of the bag should be about level with the top of your head. If you have a very short bag, you may need to adjust this height somewhat. Unfortunately, this is normal. The combination of your punches and gravity are causing the contents of the bag to settle to the bottom. The best and maybe only option you have, is to purchase an outer cover for your bag.
