In the Scale Options dialog, the Shift Axis option allows the position of the current axis to be shifted by a specified number of points (enter a positive value to shift the axis outside the graph, enter a negative value to shift it inside). For example, when X is selected as the current Scale, you can shift the X-axis upward by specifying a negative number as the Shift value.

There are 3 dimensions of information presented in the main graph. The X axis has columns representing the type of research, starting with preliminary evidence at left (e.g. case reports) and finishing with stronger evidence at right (e.g. randomized clinical trials). The Y axis represents the effectiveness or harm of the treatments you asked about in the question you chose - for example the rate of "survival without disease".

Double-click on the axis label and the Scale Options: X dialog will appear. In the Value layout box under the Scaling section, make sure Normal is selected (if you want them to be vertical labels). Parallel will give you horizontal labels. When this is set to Auto (the default), the program will choose the appropriate format depending on the number of labels and space available. Double-check that you've edited the Series Labels while creating your graph. On the second page of graphing options, on which you click the Graph Data button, you can use the left pane to update the legend text (i.e., your series titles typically) and the right pane to update your axis labels for X- and Y-axis.

Grapher needs two numeric or date columns of data to generate a plot. If you selected a column that contained letters or symbols, such as backslashes and hyphens, Grapher cannot create a plot. If the dialog is showing zero data points, look at the data in the worksheet. Normally, if the column is right justified the column contains numbers. If the column is left justified the column is formatted as text.

The queues of graphs. Statistical analyses sometimes produce large numbers of graphs (e.g., cascades of graphs for each combination of variables from two lists). Queues of document windows implemented in STATISTICA offer flexible ways to organize such output regardless of its size. New graphs are generated by subsequent analyses in a "queue," where older graphs are closed automatically as new ones are created (to avoid having too many open windows).

The algebrahelp.com calculators do not currently support inequalities. This is a feature which is planned for a future release. At this time, we are not certain when this release will take place. Most of our standard models have either two or three adjustable axes. These are defined by various terms in the industry. They are: the Elevation axis (pitch or tilt), the Azimuth axis (yaw or pan) and the Horizon axis (roll). For clarification see the graphic below.

A pitch (y) adjustment will interact principally with the Z axis, causing vertical misalignment, yaw (GREEK THETA]z) will tend to misalign Y, while roll (x) will interact with both Y and Z. Technically speaking, the Graph Mapping Base is a coefficient which controls how the logical sizes of fonts, markers, and related sizes (as set by the user in points, 1 point= 1/72 of an inch) translate into physical sizes which appear on the screen or printout (see the next topic). The Graph Mapping Base coefficient can be adjusted in the Graph Mapping Defaults dialog, accessible from the Global Defaults dialog, or interactively via the Global Font Increase/Decrease toolbar buttons.

Yes. If you accelerate while in Tiptronic mode, the Touareg's 6-speed automatic transmission will automatically shift to the next higher gear if you forget to. Also, the transmission will automatically downshift to 1st gear when you stop. This feature is not currently available on Touaregs sold in the US. It isn't clear whether or not it will be possible to retrofit paddle shifters onto US Touaregs at some point in the future.

This message appears in the MFI when you change the transfer case's gear ratio from high to low or from low to high. This message is an imperative asking you to put the transmission into "Neutral". The word "Idling" appears to be the result of a p oor German to English translation.
