Students starting in the Fall Quarter sign a "Student Housing License Agreement" that is financially binding for the full academic year (three quarters, September through June). Students starting Winter Quarter sign a two-quarter "License Agreement" and Spring and Summer are each separate one-quarter "License Agreements".

The Garden District of New Orleans is celebrated for its stately homes and lush greenery. When staying in the French Quarter, the St. Charles Streetcar is easily accessible for the scenic trip up the Avenue, and many other attractions such as the French Market, Bourbon Street, Harrah’s Casino and the Aquarium of the Americas are within easy walking distance. Transfer students must first send an unofficial copy of their transcripts to the engineering advising staff. This is in addition to the official transcript you had your college/s send to the UCSC Admissions Office. The staff will evaluate what credit you will get toward the major and contact you about what classes you should be taking in your first quarter on campus. You cannot enroll in any courses for the major on campus until this has been done.

Hotels in the USA are relatively cheap and they have some lovely 'themed' hotels at the Disneyworld resort, for which some good package deals do exist. However, when considering do bear in mind that if you rent a villa you will have a whole house to yourself. If you stay in a hotel you will have a room with two double beds, a bathroom and possibly a kitchenette. Good value in theory but you won't think so when your children wake up at 3.a.

We start the ride on Saturday morning from the Holiday Inn Express in Brattleboro Vermont and we stop at Fitchburg High School on Saturday night. Fitchburg High School provides hot showers and a gymnasium for sleeping as well as grounds for camping if desired. We provide a list of area Bed & Breakfast establishments in the area of Brattleboro and Fitchburg for those who wish to make arrangements for their own accommodations. Memory Ride does not provide transportation to off site lodging.

Refunds for the Telecom Fee will be handled the same way they are for house dues. The fee won't be prorated - rather, you will get a full credit if you move out before a certain point, and no credit after that. Currently, refunds are approved for housing contracts ending before the fifth Saturday of the quarter. The refund will happen automatically when you get refunded for room & board.

Most students opt for the two-year program for working professionals. They complete two 3-credit courses each term, taken back-to-back to enable them to focus on one course at a time. Students in the full-time, one-year, program complete four courses each term, two at a time.

The French Quarter is a 78 square-block area, 13 blocks long and 6 blocks deep. Bordered by Esplanade Avenue, Canal Street, North Rampart and the Mississippi River, the Quarter is an entire neighborhood in the city of New Orleans, not just a “strip” lasting a couple of blocks.

Parking in the French Quarter is often hard to find and always expensive. If the hotel offers parking, take it. Public lots are just as expensive and not as secure. Street parking is a gamble, and many a vacation has been ruined by costly parking tickets and towing. Meter Maids are everywhere and take their jobs very seriously. ALWAYS look for signs before parking on a French Quarter street, and if possible just leave the car at home.

The French Quarter is the crown jewel of New Orleans, and as such is heavily patrolled and protected 24 hours a day by the New Orleans Police Department. While crime is very low in the neighborhood, common sense is a necessity when traveling in any large and unfamiliar city. Be sure to carry a map of the area to avoid wandering off of the beaten path, and use extra care at night to stay where people are.

We grant 1.5 quarter credits for each semester credit. (Multiply the number of semester credits by 1.5 for the number of quarter credits.) Students transferring from a school on the semester system will not lose credits; their credits are just expressed in a different way. One semester course is generally equivalent to one quarter course. Occasionally, two semester courses, taken in sequence may be equal to three quarter courses.

Nonmatriculated (NM) students may register via Non-Degree Enrollment during autumn, winter and spring quarters. During summer quarter, Nonmatriculated (NM) students should register via the Summer Quarter Web site. Graduate Nonmatriculated (GNM) students may register via Non-Degree Enrollment anytime (autumn, winter, spring and summer quarters).

It does not matter whether your university is on a semester, trimester or quarter system because your university can easily convert Lexia credits listed on your Western Washington University transcript to your school's system. If you're on a quarter system at your home institution, you might consider participating in the Lexia program in the fall rather than in the spring so that you only miss one term at your home institution, rather than two.

There are many different reasons why a student may not be able to register for a particular class during a particular quarter. The most common are: c) The student pre-registered and did not pay fees on time resulting in his/her name being dropped from the official class list. Students must call the Registrar's Office at (937) 775-5588 to determine which university office has placed a hold(s) on his/her records.

While a regular quarter yard of fabric is 9" wide and 44" long, a "fat" quarter is the same amount of fabric cut "fat". Fat quarters are twice as wide (18") but only half as long (22"). It's a little more versatile and the perfect size for those little bits you need for quilting projects.

You may file a request to withdraw only if you have not taken any final examinations or otherwise completed the work in any of your classes. You can withdraw from a quarter, either retroactively or from the current quarter, if for each class in that quarter it says on the grade roster that you did not take the final. You can check this by going to the Undergraduate Office of the department that offered the course (for instance, go to Chem to ask about Chem 14A).

The Mill Quarter Townhomes are a group of single-family residences, referred to as "townhomes." The Industrial Way phase will be a plat recorded by Deschutes County. This plat consists of 14 lots, including 12 single family townhome residences and 2 commercial lots.

Students may take up to four units of credit (usually equivalent to four courses) per quarter. International students usually need to take at least three units of credit per quarter.

Yes. If you would like to take LTA 101 and another LTA class during your first quarter, you will need a permit from the Coordinator to get into the second LTA class. C.O.D. requires that any student wishing to register for 20 or more credits per quarter must have written permission from a counselor or Dean of their academic area. Given these limits, you may take as many classes as your schedule will bear.

The Academy program is voluntary, so you can take courses when it is convenient for you. You can take a quarter off, take classes for just one quarter, etc.

Unless you have received permission to be a part time student, it is expected that all business students will enroll in a minimum of twelve units or three courses each quarter. The average courseload is 16 units or four courses each quarter.

Quarterly course load is an individual consideration based on a student’s personal and work schedule, as well as the amount of financial resources they can comfortably afford to apply to their tuition each quarter. Cumberland Institute strongly recommends registering for the number of courses which preserves freedom from personal and financial pressure, thus avoiding burnout and financial overload.
