If you are living in a dormitory on campus or a room in the on-/off-campus hotel, your room is cleaned everyday by employees of the accommodation provider, who are governed by strict hotel regulations. As such, you can feel confident to leave your daily necessities, such as laptop, cell phone, camera and other electronics securely in the room. However, we recommend not leaving your passport and large amounts of cash out in the open.

We have a security facility whereby guests can deposit any valuables, mobiles etc. for the duration of their stay, to be collected on their departure.

You should start looking for housing early, February or March, in order to find the best deals. You should NOT wait until the last minute or when you arrive in Florence. It is getting more and more difficult to find housing for students that arrive in Florence that do not have housing already arranged. Remember, Florence is 9 hours ahead of California. This will depend on your agreement with the landlord/lady. Some do not care; others will not allow friends to stay over. Decide what you want to do at the outset, as it may influence where you live.

Generally you will be able to check in from 5pm onwards and you will be required to leave at 10am. Unfortunately we are not able to request in advance early entrance to apartments. Please note that during peak holiday times receptions can become very busy.

Unless agreed differently with the owner(s), departures are done before 12:00 pm. As a rule, the owner will inspect the apartment with you and give you back your warranty deposit.

Doubles and triples, regardless of the number of rooms, will come with one phone. Apartments will come with one phone as well. Quads or larger rooms may come with two physical phones based on layout, but will still have only one phone line even if there is more than one physical phone.

Yes, all of our guest rooms and suites feature in-room safes. Guest Services also offers safety deposit boxes for your convenience. For your protection, please do not leave valuables in your room or vehicle.

Security envelopes and/or safe deposit boxes are available from the ship's purser at no charge. Most staterooms and suites have mini-safes. Please note, however, that NCL is not responsible for valuables left in staterooms or elsewhere on board.

Yes. If you leave the co-op in the spring and return in the fall, you may designate your room to have "summer only" availability and return to your old room. The official dates for ending the semester is week 3 for all students both international and Swedish but the courses for international students normally end before Christmas. If you are uncertain about this you can ask the secretary or teacher for the course and if they tell you that you do have classes or an exam in January you can talk to the coordinator and she will help you in this matter.

For your convenience, all our apartments have a private safe to lock up important belongings (passports, cash, etc.).

Our contact, who places students who want to live with a family, in Barcelona, will try to secure housing for our students conveniently located near class. Housing is seldom more than 30 minutes away from classes by public transportation. All students will have access to housing information that is listed on our web site. It is the students responsibility to secure housing. USD Barcelona may be able to provide some housing help upon arrival in Barcelona.

You will have to leave the apartment without garbage, the floor, the bathroom and the kitchen clean, the fridge empty and open ? remember to switch off the electricity ! ? the crockery washed. Departure must be before 12 noon. If you cannot leave on time due to circumstances beyond your control, please call us immediately. We will try to offer the flexibility of letting you stay a little longer, if we do not have another client arriving on the same day.

The square footage of the living area above the garage and the garage should be included in the total living area of the home. You should also include an entry for a built-in garage. The program will then deduct 288 sq.ft. per car space in the garage (i.e., 576 sq. ft. for a 2-car garage) from the total living area.

All our apartments are secured with keys to open and lock the street door, with keys to lock the apartment door, and with keys to secure the door to your room(s) in the apartment.

All apartments are fully furnished. The common areas include lounges, tables, chairs, fridge, microwave. Each bedroom contains a single bed, desk, office chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The rates are per apartment based on 2 people staying. Extra guests are charged at between $ 30 -50 depending on the apartment booked. Check apartment site for correct rates.

Our residence halls are in use year-round; for the safety and security of our students and guests the rooms are not open to visitors. Telephone service is available in all on-campus graduate, married and family residences. This basic service provides voice mail, campus, and local phone service. There is an opt-in phone service for the undergraduate residence halls. The cost is $161 per semester which will be billed to your student account. You must bring your own telephone instrument to campus which can include multiple features but cannot be a 2.4 GHz wireless phone, since these tend to interfere with wireless data service.

The Residence Halls offer single room options, however most of these rooms are reserved for returning students. University Apartments also offer single apartments, however these apartments fill up quickly and may be full by the time you receive your contract. You can live in the University Apartments if you are over the age of 21, if you are married, or if you have children.

The rent for a room varies very much and depends on many factors like the location, extra facilities and the condition the apartment or room is in. The average rent for a room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities is between 300 to 600 Euro. The rental price for a small apartment starts at around 400 Euro.

Each residence hall room/apartment has a connection for each resident to the university network which allows properly equipped personal computers to be attached. Computer labs are available in each classroom building for all students to use. Schedules are posted in each lab.
