Nap-Naps cloth nappies are made entirely from cloth, absorbent fabric and the overpants are the waterproof protective layer that ensures clothing/bedding stays dry. We designed them to be conveniently separate so that you only need 3-4 overpants regardless of how many Nap-Naps you are using instead of having what is commonly referred to as an AIO (All In One) where the waterproof fabric is attached to the cloth nappy.

We have however, dried them in a cool dryer against the material recommendations and they have been fine. Absolutely only line dry in the shade organic wool overpants.

Absolutely! You can choose to use our 'Night' Nap-Naps cloth nappies at night time which are made from 100% cotton toweling for when baby needs a little bit more. These can be used with Night Boosters as well if you have a babe who super soaks under the stars! If you have 'Classic' Nap-Naps, you can use them with Night Boosters which are super thick & thirsty 100% cotton toweling for night or when you want to lengthen time between changing ie.

Classic' or 'Day' Nap-Naps: The Inner Liner and inside lining is 100% natural cotton flannelette and the coloured outer is a polyester/viscose mix. We chose the outer because of its very high thread count and extreme durability.

Of course this varies from baby to baby and will change from newborn to toddler. On average a newborn baby will use approx 6-8 cloth nappies per day and this changes depending on whether baby is breastfed or bottle fed, how many motions they are having etc. Some baby's poo several times a day and others every 3 or 4 days. This can change according to Mums diet (if a baby is breastfed) and will change when a baby goes onto solid foods. Some baby's wet a lot and others a little.

this is a question I get a lot! There is no one answer or fix but this is what we have done.

Soak Nap-Naps & night boosters overnight in a laundry tub or large bucket surrounded by lots of COLD water, weigh them down if they float on top, then COLD machine wash & hang them on the line to dry completely. Repeat once, twice or even three times before use! No laundry powders required. Just like a new towel, this pre-washing will maximise absorbency Please note that your Nap-Naps will probably become covered in fluff.

The average amount of overpants per size seems to be 3-4. Sometimes you will change the overpants after every 3rd or 4th change, sometimes you will change the overpants every time. It depends on baby's wetting etc and also depends on personal preference. We are proud to say that our overpant material doesn't have that classic 'plastic pants' smell because it's not plastic.
