With the rapid drop in prices for hard drives and optical media, it costs much less to store documents on an imaging system than with paper. A single page typically occupies around 50KB of disk space if the image is stored in TIFF Group IV. Each gigabyte (GB) of storage space (which costs only a few dollars) will hold approximately 20,000 pages.

The AltME program is only .5 MB, so it is fast to download and takes very little disk space. Each world will also require some disk space, but most worlds rarely use more than 1 MB. We think AltME would be terrific on cell phones, and we hope to add that feature just a soon as possible.

That depends, obviously, on what you've chosen to download and install. A full installation today is probably larger than 800MB installed, not including the package archives themselves nor the source code. After installation, the package archives remain in your "Local Package Directory", by default the location of setup.exe. You may conserve disk space by deleting the subdirectories there. These directories will have very weird looking names, being encoded with their URLs.

Intellinx does not store the actual bitmap of the user screens but rather stores the intercepted raw network transmission from which it reconstructs the user screens when needed; hence it is very efficient regarding disk space. The data is condensed at a ratio of 1:10. Based on the experience of Intellinx customers using 3270 based applications the recorded data of one end-user of a whole day typically requires about 50KB ? 60KB.

the UV lamps and /or sleeves need to be periodically removed from the reactor chamber, you must leave at least double the length of the disinfection system to facilitate removal. A typical 5 USGPM UV system would require approximately 45" of space either vertically or horizontally.

The documents are stored in the TIFF format. A black and white text page with 50 lines after scanning typically occupies around 50KB.

Daily reports require a LOT of space for large or multiple site reports. If space is a concern we suggest turning on only monthly and quarterly reports. Don't turn on annual or summary as they require considerable resources to generate (summary requires ever-growing resources...). Wusage 8 makes it much easier to understand that there is some historical information available even without summary reports turned on, because there are prominent links to historical charts.

Bingo Caller is a very small installation, and typically requires less than 2MB of hard disk space, including the system files it needs.

While processing, Wave Corrector keeps a temporary copy of the file being processed thus, in effect, doubling the disk space requirements. So for example, processing a 60 minute wave file will require about 1.2GB of hard disk space.

Answer: No more than 10 MB free space will be required for the initial installation of the Offline Expense Service. About 5 MB of additional free space will be required to apply product updates to the initial installation. Space requirements will grow slightly as the user accumulates offline data. Open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the directory where the Offline Expense Service was installed (the default location is C:\Program Files\Concur\Offline Expense Service).

When you download PC-Com, the installation file is 2.60 MB. After you install PC-Com, you may delete the installation file if you wish. Once PC-Com is installed, the entire program and all of its components only require 7.33 MB of space.

The size varies from 15 to 30 MBs, depending on the Region. When you consider you will be using your own data and probably make multiple runs, the size requirements increase rapidly. We suggest there should be at least 100 MBs for project data and run results, but this could vary on the size and scope of the project (specific stand versus a landscape analysis) and the number of runs performed.

AnteUp! is a very small installation, and typically requires less than 8MB of hard disk space, including the system files it needs.

ClickView Player occupies approximately 15MB of space on the local hard disk. However, to ensure stability, a minimum of 200MB of free disk space is required for ClickView to operate reliably.

You need at least 200 Mb of empty space to install SonicStage. Additional 200 Mb (recommended 1.5Gb) are necessary for using the application.

Note: This data includes full CD quality audio (44 kHz, 16-bit, stereo) for MPEG files and 22 kHz, 16-bit audio for all other files.

Storage can be on many forms of medium, from space on one of the SAN in our digital repository to good old magnetic tape. For example, though, the contents of four filing cabinets can be stored on a single 5.25" optical disk.

Client software generally requires 16 to 20 MB of RAM to run, with higher requirements for scanning and OCR. Most systems recommend having 64MB or more.

ClickView recommends that you have at least 100GB of free space as each hour of ClickView video will occupy 350-400MB of disk space on your ClickView Library Server.

This depends on how large the documents being stored are and how much data is on the page. On the average, a 8 1/2" X 11" typed document, scanned at 200 dpi, will consume around 40kB, or about 13,000 documents in the space of one CD. As many as 2,000 engineering size drawings can also be stored on a single CD.

The size of a capture file will depend on several factors. The main factors are the screen size; whether video is captured; whether audio is captured; the size of the video image and its quality; the quality of the screen capture; the amount of on-screen activity and the nature of the information being displayed on the screen. An average capture of screen, video and audio will be between 2 ? 5 Meg a minute.
