The episodes did have an ongoing arc story amidst the unrelated and self contained episodes, but the exact order of this arc, i.e. the production order is currently unknown by the creators of this FAQ. It is known that USA network rearranged the order of the episodes without regard to continuity. Season 2 seems to have been the only one to have escaped the continuity errors and appears to have been shown in order.
