BMS stands for Bachelor of Management Studies. It's a 3-year full time degree program introduced by the University of Mumbai from the academic year 1999-2000. The program is based on the BBA program of International Universities. To create for the students of University of Mumbai an additional avenue of self-employment and also to benefit industry by providing them with suitable trained persons.

Requests to waive the GRE must be sent in writing to the YSN Admissions Committee and are considered on a case-by-case basis. In certain cases, when the applicant has completed an advanced degree, such as a Master's degree, we will consider waiving the GRE test, in lieu of a Master's thesis or published scholarly article.

The $780 yearly waive credit applies to employees who waive out of medical coverage. We encourage those employees who choose to waive coverage to consider maintaining any coverage available to them elsewhere. The waive credit comes out to $30 per biweekly pay. You do not receive a waive credit for waiving prescription or dental coverage.

Some academic departments require that Non-Degree students register after the first day of the quarter at which time a $25 late fee is usually assessed. Contact the appropriate department to determine if there are procedures for waiving the late fee. Waiving the late fee is at the discretion of each department.

Application to the MBA Programme is free to graduates of our partner institutions, the University of London, Columbia University and the University of Hong Kong. To qualify, you must provide a copy of your degree transcript at the time of application.

A BMS graduate is on par if not on a higher level than a normal BA / B.Sc / B.Com graduate, in terms of opportunities in Private Sector Job Market. Many companies have of late started preferring fresh graduates with undergraduate business management degrees like BMS/BBA/BBS, etc. Students from the BMS batch of 2003 from some of the good colleges have been able to attract top-notch jobs from blue chip companies.

Each year a large number of applicants apply for the school. If you are not committed to attending all lectures and field trips then please allow those who are committed to take priority, and consider applying when you can make the commitment. The Denver Council is responsible for determining the school tuition refund policy. Refunds (less a $10 charge) will only be made if the request is made before the first class and a substitute can be found to take your place in the school.

Admission to BMS is open to people who are at least eighteen years old and who meet the following requirements: Current possession of at least a Denver group "C" hiking classification. (Do not delay obtaining this classification!) Potential BMS students do not need to possess any previous technical rock climbing experience. You will need to possess conditioning and stamina. Additionally - you will be required to obtain equipment necessary to support the field trip exercises.

In order to graduate from BMS you need to successfully complete all of the field trips including the graduation High Peak climb. You must learn and demonstrate the skills taught in the field sessions, show preparedness, always consider safety, and have the necessary stamina and physical conditioning. Attendance is required at all lectures. Lastly, you must satisfactorily complete all quizzes and pass the final exam.

You will not be able to take both Wilderness Trekking School and Basic Mountaineering School at the same time. WTS is a requirement for a C classification and a C classification is required to apply to BMS. If you haven't taken WTS or the Backpacking School, your only option to get into BMS this year would be to get a WTS waiver. BMS applications are due to the CMC office by Friday, February 17, 2006 at which point you must to meet the requirements for admission to the school.

The Health Services fee is MANDATORY for all full time students. IT IS NOT INSURANCE. The only students who can waive the health fee are those who are enrolled in a special program that takes them away from the campus for the entire semester, i.e. studying abroad, student teaching, an internship, etc. If you are on campus and enrolled full time you must pay the fee. Also, medical coverage through a health insurance plan is not a criterion for exemption.

No. The number of credit hours required for the joint program cannot be reduced. For example, even if a student has a strong background in economics, he or she cannot waive the core MPA course in microeconomics (PAUS 8141). However, students may petition to substitute another course in such a situation, which will keep the number of credit hours the same but result in a different set of core courses.

I do not have the authority to waive the admissions fee. However, according to Robert Furno, the Director of Admissions for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, your application will be reviewed without prejudice if you cannot afford to pay the fee. If you are accepted to Columbia, appropriate payment arrangements can be made at that time.

Deductible cannot be waived. To waive a deductible means to prepare an estimate charging for work not performed on the vehicle.
