The RBCA Tool Kit for Chemical Releases, version 1.2 and earlier may fail to start properly (Excel reports a "Type Mismatch" macro error) after customizing certain chemicals in the chemical data base. The problem stems from a few of the CAS numbers in the built-in database containing dashes ("-") whereas they should be stored as numbers alone. It's possible that when you select to "launch" Pong an error will be generated by Windows. The likely cause of the error is due to older video cards. Prior to 2002, PCs did not typically support 3D graphics required by newer games to run properly; therefore, if you are seeing this error you may not be able to participate in the trial. When zsh starts up, there are four files you can change which it will run under various circumstances: .zshenv, .zprofile, .zshrc and .zlogin. They are usually in your home directory, but the variable $ZDOTDIR may be set to alter that. Here are a few simple hints about how to use them.

During starup, CDex is enumrating all audio compression codecs installed on your system. Very rarely, the existence of a particular audio codec apparently triggers this crash. To resolve the most likely codec conflict, go to Control Panel->Multimedia->Devices->Audio Codecs, search for and select a Delrina sample rate conversion codec (used by a program called WinFax), and click Properties->"Do not use this codec". (I do not imply the fault is with Delrina.

If any part of the path to a 4-Sight Fax data file is an alias to a mountable volume, that volume must be mounted for the 4-Sight Fax Client to find the file. An unavailable volume will result in the above error message, and failure to load the user's data.

First you should make sure that the setup of components and species is correct.
