Matte canvas is a clean canvas surface that has no glare or reflection which will give a print an artistic feel. Gloss canvas has a gloss coating on the canvas that resembles the appearance of a photograph which does have a reflection in light.

Gloss AQ coating is a coating that has a high gloss that is shiny and matte has a coating that seem by appearance to have a dull finish.

Matte stock is a coated paper that has a dull finish. It is often used to make pages easier to read that are text intensive or that contain numerical charts. Gloss stock is a coated paper with a shiny or highly reflective finish. It is most often used in 4-color printing to help full color photographs; images and graphics appear more vivid, real and appealing.

Offset stock is uncoated paper which is most commonly used for 1-color pages in books, reports, letters and business forms. Offset stock is usually less expensive than coated stocks which are described in 1. above.

Canvas only means it is not stretched over a frame - we deliver it rolled and you arrange stretching with your local framer. "Canvas Wrapped" means we deliver it, ready to hang, stretched around a 4cm (2inch) thick wooden frame, strung and taped at the back so dust doesn't get in the crack between the canvas and the frame. Gives a nice chunky art gallery feel.

Color laser printers produce a vivid, natural sheen image on quality paper (both matte & glossy). However, the glossy has a distinct shine even where the label remains white. It's usually a matter of personal preference as to which will work for your chips. However, glossy is recommended for actual photos or intricately detailed designs with multiple colors.

The difference between paper finishes hinges on two values, contrast, and paper surface. Contrast refers to the ability of a paper to record a range of tones from the most extreme white to the richest black. Nearly all photographs will have a full range of tones, but depending on the type of paper you use one can either highlight the differences (with a high-contrast paper) or subdue them (with lower-contrast) depending on your preference and purpose.

Matte surface is a dull surface. The tin has not been re-melted (reflowed). Reflowed surface is very shiny and reflective. The tin coating has been given a flash heating process at a temperature just above the melting point of tin, wherein the tin melts and refreezes very rapidly, resulting in a reflective surface.

The Satin finish is a matte finish and the easiest to maintain. Because it has a low sheen, it is very forgiving insofar as showing scratches, dents, and wear and tear over time. The Semi Gloss finish has some shine and is a little harder to maintain in that it will show scratches, dents and wear and tear sooner. The High Gloss finish is the hardest to maintain in that it shows everything - dust, dirt, scratches, dents, and wear and tear in general the quickest.

Safety is important to all cosmetic companies. Lip gloss is obviously more liquid and this is because they contain more oils. Lipsticks usually contain wax and petroleum jelly-like ingredients. Colos? has added Vitamin E to all of their lipsticks to help reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture.

The canvas transfer process allows you to choose a poster from our Museum collection and transform it into a work of art on canvas. A print on canvas option allows you to select one of your personal digital images or Member Art piece and have it printed directly on to high quality canvas. Both are water resistant, require no glazing and can be stretched on to stretcher bars for framing. You can choose to add brushstrokes to canvas transfers. This option is not available for prints on canvas.

A glossy finish will have a much more shiny finish. The matte finish will not be as shiny. The resolution of the photos is the same for both options.

The Canvas widget is the most configurable and versatile. With versatility comes complication however, and it is certainly deserving of its own special section within this FAQ... You might also see the examples in the widget demo especially the "canvas item types" selection (which runs the items.pl demo script). Make sure not to graduate too quickly from a 180 file to the white block. Try using the white block buffer a little longer than seems necessary. Be sure to wipe all grit and dust from the nail and the 3-way buffer, as even the smallest amount of dust will prevent a high gloss. Cuticle oil may be helpful. There may be a slight color variation from batch to batch. Allow the polish to dry completely before you decide it doesn't match.

Many of our butcher blocks feature a food-safe natural oil finish that seals and protects the wood and provides an ideal cutting surface. Natural oil is the finish to choose if you intend to cut upon your butcher block directly. For natural oil finish butcher blocks, it is recommended that you re-oil the surface every 4 weeks or so using a pure white mineral oil that you can purchase at a regular grocery store or hardware store.

Lip gloss is a thicker product in a pot and is applied with your finger. Liquid lips is in a roller bottle and is applied by rolling directly on the lips.

and 5 mesh relate to how many holes per inch. 3.75 means there are 3.75 holes to the inch and 5 mesh = 5 holes to the inch. Therefore if you use a 5 mesh canvas you will use more yarn as the stitches will be closer together, it is also more expensive than 3.75 and only comes in certain yardages. It is great for really defining a design such as a floral. 3.

When a new project is started, we usually have some specific intention of producing a collage for either electronic media (your computer screen, digital photo frame, etc.) or print (your own printer, commercial photo printing, etc.). The most important planning goes into the actual shape of the final image... the aspect ratio. We can choose either a standard size from either of the Portrait or Landscape drop down lists. A: A matte finish is a bead blast finish on tubing exterior only. The surface has a uniform dull appearance. Most fittings are constructed with a matte finish. An electropolished finish removes a small portion of the surface of the vacuum tubing, usually both inside and out, which results in a surface that traps less water vapor than an unpolished surface. In most high vacuum and many ultrahigh vacuum applications, a matte finish is acceptable.

Temperature compatibility - Matte Tin is compatible with the elevated temperatures of lead-free, reflow processing (250-260C). Bright Tin has a tendency to discolor (turn dark) when exposed to the higher lead-free, reflow processing environment. Appearance - Matte Tin has a normal whitish "matte" surface appearance whereas Bright Tin has a bright (shiny) surface finish.
