Where did the Handy Cricket come from? The Handy Cricket is based on ideas and technology developed in the Cricket project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group, headed by Mitchel Resnick, at the Media Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The core Cricket design was begun by Brian Silverman with Fred Martin in 1995.
