The representation of the design must be filed as an attachment to the electronic application form and must be in the .jpeg data format. The maximum size is 2 MB per view. Each attachment contains one view. Attachments that do not comply with this shall be deemed not to have been filed.

For the representation of a trade mark which is not a word mark, the only attachment format accepted is JPEG, the maximum size is DIN A4 (945 pixels x 1899 pixels) and the attachment must not exceed 2 MB. For all other attachments, a JPEG attachment (a scanned version of the document) and/or a PDF document (no more than 10 pages) will be accepted. Colour reproduction changes from screen to screen therefore the colours in the printed book may differ slightly to your digital photographs. Please use the RGB colour format to ensure that the colours will remain as close to your digital photograph as possible. If your photographs are in the CMYK mode, please convert them to RGB. You can use images saved in all established formats (BMP, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PNG), however TIFF files with LZW-compression cannot be used.

The best formats to use are GIF, TIFF or JPEG (JFIF). Some other file formats are supported but provide no advantages over these three. The software we use does not support bitmap (BMP) files and if you upload bitmap images they will appear as garbage.

JPG, GIF, TIFF and BMP as well as other bitmapped graphic formats will generally not scale up to the size of a large format flag or banner. If you were to print a large banner with one of those images on it, it is likely to look granulated and unrecognizable. We support EPS and PDF vector formatted images. Many logo and mascot images are created in those formats so that they can look perfect when they are used at any size.

If you are prining a photo, send the file in JPEG or TIFF format.
