There are seveal ways to put Quicktime movies and Cocoa worlds on the same page. The easiest is to let Cocoa generate the basic web page for you, as it does automagically when you use the 'Save for Internet' menu item in Cocoa. Then you can open up this HTML file in your web page construction tool and add the movie. Some tools will do this better then others.

The most likely explanation is that you have rendered the movie at a higher resolution than your computer can play back with the QuickTime compressor (codec) with which the movie was rendered. Not really. The reason is that only a couple of compression codecs support alpha channels which are needed to produce the effect that you see. These codecs use "lossless" compression techniques which maintain much higher image quality, but are not as efficient as lossy compression schemes like JPEG.

There are a number of reasons why this could be, but there is an easy solution to part of the problem. You can view the movies outside of the CD applications, go to the movies folder on the CD and load the movies directly into Movie Player. There is also an old-movies folder that contains Quicktime movies from the previous version of the book. In the meantime, check to see you have the latest Active X drivers and your graphics card drivers are up to date.
