Is Mega Man: The Series canon?
Mega Man: The Series | FAQNo. It is neither official nor canon. Quite frankly I consider only things created by one of Capcom’s own development teams to be “canon” and I am not one of those. If anyone tries to tell you the books are canon kindly correct them because I do not make that claim. The Series is merely my own portrayal of the Mega Man series and characters.
Related QuestionsWhy do you include the Captain N shows in Mega Man: The Series?
Mega Man: The Series | FAQFirst, let’s get one thing clear: I see my books as Mega Man books with cameo appearances of the Captain N characters, not the other way around. This means that I visualize my books differently than you would if they were Captain N books. It also means that I don’t base the books off the cartoons; instead, I base them off the games and mold the cartoons so that they don’t contradict the games.
Related QuestionsThen why does Proto Man fight Mega Man so much?
MMHP: FAQEvidently he feels that’s the only way Mega Man’s going to seriously improve his skills. Sometimes it appears as though Proto Man is merely testing Mega Man’s abilities or resolve. And there has been at least one case where Proto Man was testing his own skills. Proto Man is never trying to destroy Mega Man, however.

Related QuestionsIf Mega Man and X dueled, who would win?
MMHP: FAQThis question has no correct answer. There are too many factors involved which do not allow a conclusive decision. For example, X begins his games pitifully weak, with almost half Mega Man’s number of units in his energy meter and no defense to speak of. (In the game manuals he’s also said to be a relatively poor Maverick Hunter due to his aversion to violence.) However if X gathers all of the enhancements in a game, he usually more than makes up for his bad start.
Related QuestionsIs Capcom going to make a Mega Man Legends 3?
MMHP: FAQSee the answer to the previous question. It’s kind of ironic that this is the one specific game that I get asked about the most...but maybe not so unusual given the way Legends 2 ended. To answer the question more specifically, as of this writing I haven’t seen any indication (even on Capcom of Japan’s website, and that’s where it’d be announced first) that they are developing a Legends 3. Related QuestionsWhere are Proto Man and other original series characters in the X series?
MMHP: FAQNobody knows, officially. Capcom hasn’t said. They haven’t even said what happened to Mega Man, much less anybody else. The only original series character we can definitely place in the X series is Dr. Light—and even he has a lot of mysteries surrounding him (see another question). A couple of other characters have been mentioned, such as Dr.

Canon EOS Beginners' FAQ III - LensesCanon sell a number of lenses in a special series they refer to as L for luxury. L series lenses offer higher optical quality than their non-L equivalents, and have an important technical aspect in common.
Related QuestionsWhy don't you take into account The Animated Series (TAS) as fully canon?
Ex Astris Scientia - FAQSo far EAS strictly complied with TPTB's stance that TAS was non-canon. Now that the official policy has purportedly been amended, I feel absolutely unable to promptly conform once again. This would not only mean for me to dig for new information in the series, which would be still the fun part, but it would require me to sift through the whole site and reconsider countless conclusions.
Related QuestionsI have a consumer Canon camera. Can I put a professional L-series lens on it?
Canon EOS Beginners' FAQ III - LensesThe major issue you really have to be concerned about is weight, since a really heavy lens can strain the lens mount. The answer is to support the heavy lens by the lens itself - just let the camera hang off the back of the lens. The weight of the camera is not going to strain the lens mount. This applies to all low to midrange EOS cameras, since even those cameras with metal lens mounts have steel mounts attached to plastic body frames.

Canon is still canon but of course your characters are allowed to try and change their future. Related QuestionsWhy is exposure with my Canon flash system so unpredictable?
Digital Photography FAQRecent Canon SLRs use a system called E-TTL to determine flash exposure. (Newer models use E-TTL II, which seems to be more robust.) E-TTL is praised by some for allowing very precise control over flash exposure when used properly, but it is slammed by others for being too sensitive to very small changes in the center of the image and requiring too much planning to get proper "automatic" exposure. There is probably some truth in both positions.
