PDFCreator is provided as for the convenience of our customers. PDF Creator is third party software. We do not provide technical support for PDFCreator. When I try to create a PDF of a complete report, it creates multiple PDFs instead of one PDF or the PDF software stops before the report is complete.

For certain versions of CompuServe and AOL you may need to minimize the website, open Adobe Acrobat (Reader) in the background, and then maximize your browser prior to printing the forms. In some instances, Adobe is not automatically invoked (opened) by selecting the desired form. In these cases, you will need to open Adobe yourself and then print the form.

When I click to download the program, a message quickly appears and the download starts immediatley. Once finished, I cannot find where the file has been downloaded too.

Many of the downloadables and tip sheets available on A Place of Our Own's website are in the "PDF" file format. Because documents in ".pdf" format can easily be seen and printed by users on a variety of computer and platform types, they are very common on the Internet. If you can't open a PDF document after clicking on the specified link, then you need to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free from Adobe's Website.

All worksheets and handouts are in PDF file format (portable document format). PDF files must use Adobe Reader to open and print. We can print from your PDF's, if you are unsure about your settings please contact us and we can arrange to send you the setting we use. If you've applied any trapping to your files before you create your PDF, please check that you've set the traps correctly because Acrobat versions 5 and 6 can display traps inconsistently.

To print out a PDF document from the TSP Web site, just click on Print as you would for any other document. If you run into problems, try the following: First, select the print options you want by opening File, then Print Setup (in Windows and UNIX) or Page Setup (in Macintosh). When you are ready to print, choose File, then Print.

Security settings in the document may not allow printing. In Acrobat, select File/Document Properties, and select the Security tab. This will display a list of the security settings for the document including whether printing is allowed.

Since everyone's printer setup is different, it's not recommended to print out the complete file; only the mini-area-maps that you need. A street map is always helpful & the free transit maps often provide additional useful information. But my guides are all you need, really.

It depends whether you mean "printing to a printer under control of the server" or "printing on the client's printer". For the first problem, look at the print servlet in the FOP examples. You'll have to gather any printer settings in a HTML form and send it to the server. For the second task, you can use some client side script to start Acrobat Reader in print mode, or use a Java applet based on the FOP print servlet.

Fully embed all fonts used in the document. Take care that all fonts are only embedded once. Subsetted fonts over multiple pages can cause problems when your PDF is rasterized for print. Your document may be printed with symbols instead of fonts, garbled text or missing text. Do not downsample your images unless they are fully rasterized. If they are fully rasterized and the DPI is greater than 300, downsample to 300 DPI.

Forms created in Adobe 5.0 containing textboxes don't print out correctly in Adobe 6.0. In the print dialog box, change "Print What" to "Documents and Comments". Every object you draw is measured in units. You determine the value of the units within AutoCAD before you draw. For example, in one drawing, a unit might equal one millimeter of the real-world object. In our case, we use a foot unit.

We plan to add direct PDF report printing in version 3. For version 2 we recommend using the free PDF Creator printer driver to generate PDF based reports. PDF Creator installs a virtual printer, allowing you to print any document to PDF, a report from Complete Time Tracking or documents from other applications such as Microsoft Word. When you print to the PDF Creator printer you will be prompted for the filename of the PDF file.

It's possible you will need to install a postscript print driver. These drivers are available from your printer manufacturer???s website.

Sometimes the file name assigned to a pdf is not compatible with our printer's memory. For example, if the file name includes brackets [ ] or other punctuation, or is very long, the printer won't recognize it. One print job that stalls will hold up the entire print queue, so delete your job from the queue. One solution is to rename the file by saving the pdf to your desktop. Click on the Acrobat toolbar icon for Save (a picture of a floppy disk) and rename the file.

Those who have Windows 98 can use the "Print Screen" button to capture an Abode Acrobat PDF file as a bitmap. Then you can import the clipboard image to your favorite graphic program. Mac users can also make screenshots... If you magnify the Adobe Acrobat file, you can get an enlarged image which you can further manipulate. However, pay attention to your dpi settings or the scale may be thrown off.
