New Hampshire is currently observing a 15 year Title Law. Vehicles more than 15 years old will not be titled and are considered exempt. For newer vehicles: If the motor vehicle is purchased from a private sale, the Town Clerk’s office will fill out the title application forms. If it is used by you in your business then you should be allowed to keep it. If the vehicle is considered to be of “excess value” [it is worth a few thousand pounds] the Official Receiver/Trustee may require it to be sold and replace it with a more suitable vehicle.
