Armor is different from the other attributes in the Stats panel. Armor is determined completely by the equipment that a character is wearing.

This "hard" bolt of magical force hits the armor just like a bullet, staff thrust or fist, doing damage on impact, and either denting it a little or punching a hole straight through. It then goes "Poof!" and vanishes in a cloud of fire. It will only heat up a breastplate as much as a baseball-sized globe of 300-degree air would; i.e. not much. The Explosive Fireball does flame damage - treat as crushing damage that can set fires.

Cyclone armor will absorb the amount of damage listed in the skill description for whatever skill level it is at. This means that you will be unharmed by Elemental Damage as long as the shield is active. In PvP this can be very helpful, since the 75% Damage reduction will mean less damage to your shield, and you can always recast it.

There are a number of factors that can influence the service life of body armor. The NIJ has sponsored research that indicates that age is not the only factor in determining the service life of armor. Other factors to consider include: how regularly the armor was worn; how it was cared for; if the armor fits the wearer properly (most people lose or gain weight over a period of years); and the overall condition of the armor (do the fasteners still work properly and so on).

UHMW stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight plastic. It is a very high-end plastic product that is custom milled for use in the Tekvest. It provides superior cut resistance and great flexibility. We laminate it to a closed-cell, vinyl nitrile foam that delivers a level of comfort and protection not available in the off-road world.

Armor reduces the amount of damage the character gets in melee/missile combat, whereas the first part of the armor value is the constant part, and the second one the randomized part; e.g. armor 2/3 protects the character from 2-5 points of damage per hit.

In a more rigorous game, we would have labeled all the swords as "weapon" and all the armor as "armor" and so on. Try to use common sense, even if this IS Munchkin. Spikes don't turn armor into a weapon. A shield is neither weapon nor armor. Neither is a Really Impressive Title.

I covered this above in some minor detail. When armor decreases the values of your Strength, Quickness and Focus attributes, the result is an increase in the costs of special moves. Additionally because of the decreases in Constitution, Stamina and Willpower, you will find that you do not regenerate your main stats as quickly.

The Frogzard armor is not a weapon. I know it looks like your mount is doing the attacking, but that’s just your imagination. The critter’s spit is just as powerful, accurate and has the same elemental alignment as whatever weapon your character is currently wielding. Don’t ask me how.

You have access to armors, helmets, boots and gloves among other things. And yes, you'll see them on the character in the game once you have them equipped.

Stab- and puncture-resistant armors are made from a variety of materials. The most commonly used materials are made from extremely strong fibers, which can be either woven or laminated together. Other materials used are metals and composites. As the threat impacts the armor, the materials either deflect the threat or, due to their very high level of cut and/or tear resistance, they "stretch" and the impact forces are dissipated over a larger area of the armor.

It's basically a mix of different ceramics, steel and other things to make it super strong. The armor protects the suit against beams. It is comprised of 4 layers. If an incoming attack was sufficient to pierce the outer layer of the armor, then the second/third layer would explode outward.

Pinnacle Armor we provide ballistic armor for vehicles, vessels, aircraft, and facilities from .22 caliber up to 30mm cannon. Larger caliber munitions armor is available upon special request. For flexible body armor we provide ballistic resistance from .22 caliber to the .30-06 caliber M2 armor piercing, as well as fragmentation and speciality ammunition like flechettes and specialized sabot projectiles.

There are 3 sets of both Imperial and Rebel armor that you can purchased from an armorsmith on your server. These suits cannot be purchased from a recruiter and only a master armorsmith can obtain the schematics from a recruiter. In order to join a faction you must either visit a recruiter or a pilot trainer. Converse with them and they will allow you to join their faction. If you decide to switch factions, you will have to wait 5 days (120 hours) before you can join the opposing faction.

Make sure you have some money on hand, and go to any town but Hogsmeade or Hogwarts. There you'll find Ollivander's Wand Shop, which sells weapons, and also Sir Nicholas's Armor, where you'll find armor.

Sheet plastic (such as ABS or Styrene) which is heated and then vacuum formed (i.e. blown and then sucked!) over a negative copy of the original (the mould). The thinner the plastic and the stronger the suction, the cleaner and sharper the cast will be. Most Stormtrooper helmets and armor are made this way, as were the originals. Usually since white ABS or Styrene is used there is no need to paint as the plastic has a naturally glossy finish. Gel-coated Fiberglass.

Answer: Different parts need different types of padding. We recommend closed cell foam (camp mat) as the basic means of isolating the fighter from battle damage. We further recommend open cell padding wherever soft tissue will rub against the pad. Gorget and helmet are good candidates for open cell padding but different people like different things. We think that street hockey glove are great for under our demi-gauntlets.

It's hard to say. Bob and Dave had a lot of cool armors during their runs, but I think my favorite is probably the Modular Armor from the Kaminski/Hopgood stories. Most of Shellhead's armors are just variations of the same-especially in recent years-but the Modular Armor looked crisp and revolutionary while maintaining the red and gold look. It was sleek and modern, and just the updating the book needed at the time. Many of the armors since just seem like recycled versions of the each other.

Given the artistic license often employed by writers, it's hard to say precisely, but here's my top five most powerful armors. The War Machine Armor. Tony built it as a total weapon for all-out combat. It's a tough as any other armor and carries a heck of a lot more firepower. Iron Man really kicked butt in that suit. The Oversize Red and Gold Armor Iron Man wore in the late '80s during John Byrne's run is another very powerful armor.
