WYnet is a group of students who are interested in doing missions now! WYnet takes many GET Global trips during the summers where students can get familiar with translation work around the world. Entire youth groups can go on some of these trips.

Primitive Baptists do not condemn entertainment when it is moral and in moderation. We also recognize that men of God in the scriptures occasionally use humor and sarcasm (Is 40:18-23, Is 44:12-20, Lk 16:9), so this too is acceptable provided that it is clean, purposeful, and moderate. We have a Middle School Youth Group (grades 6 through 8) and a High School Youth Group (grades 9-12). Confirmation class is offered for 7th and 8th graders during the Church School Hour, and a Senior High Church School class meets at that time, also. There is a regular Tuesday evening Senior High Bible study that meets at members’ homes. Both Middle School and High School Groups participate in retreats, summer youth conferences, and summer mission trips.

Our youth have a ministry to serve our congregations also. Some young people may be called to travel to other congregations to minister as well, as acolyte or lector or simply as a 'youth presence' in congregations without young people of their own yet.

Programs and interventions that include both youth development and reproductive health components reduce teen pregnancy over a long period of time, according to research by Doug Kirby, Ph.D., who has conducted two rigorous national studies of teen pregnancy prevention programs.

During our services we have Kids Connection for grades K-8th along with pre-school and nursery. The first weekend of the month is our Intergenerational Service where the kids stay in the service (nursery is still available during these services). The annual Glens Falls Summer Youth Program brochure is distributed to the elementary and middle school students in the Glens Falls City School District during the first week of June. New programs, courses and clinics are added to the line-up every year. Registrations are accepted by mail or in person at the Recreation Department, 65 Ridge Street.

Meadow Creek's ministry to teens involves a trained staff, working together in a team concept. Several lay volunteers work with our Minister to Youth in Junior High and Senior High to ensure that teens receive personal attention. Each juvenile justice school is a separate school requiring student enrollment, withdrawal, maintaining and forwarding of transcripts to ensure continuity of educational services. School personnel, whether private or publicly provided, are subject to all applicable federal, state and local rules. In addition, the DJJ and DOE provide for regular program monitoring.

Despite good intentions and extensive efforts to develop suicide awareness and prevention programs for youth in schools, few programs have been evaluated to see if they work. Many of these programs are designed to reduce the stigma of talking about suicide and encourage distressed youth to seek help. Of the programs that were evaluated, none has proven to be effective.

You must have the child's Geneva Library card in hand to provide the information that library staff needs. These days most of our hostels are more like budget hotels, with ensuite rooms, smaller rooms and dorms, as well have facilities such as Internet, restaurants, and organized activities.
