AeroCare makes all arrangements regarding the air ambulance flight. This includes having our Medical Director or Medical Crew Supervisor obtain a pre-flight medical consult, arranging ground ambulances at both ends of the flight, ordering in-flight catering, handling insurance paperwork, notifying the receiving hospital of the arrival time and confirming bed availability, as well as any special requests of the family.

Students are responsible for making their own flight arrangements. We do request that arrangements be made for a light meal for the band. However, we do not want our clients to have to pay the same rate as their guests to feed the group. Most caterers in the area will allow the band to go through the buffet line after the guests have finished, or they may provide a vendor sandwich or other light fare. If a caterer is insistent on charging full fare for the band to eat, other arrangements can be made. This is not a major issue for the band!

We are not affiliated with any one cemetery, but we have contacts with all the area cemeteries, and we can put families in touch with cemetery personnel so that they can make their cemetery decisions.
