In addition, an Ethernet outlet is provided in the room for each student, which includes a direct connection to the Hollins University network. Additionally, Tinker and Randolph residence halls are wireless.

Yes, every room in every house has an Ethernet network point hard wired to a Web Safe Router ready for connection to a high-speed modem. All you need do is decide what broadband package you want, plug a network card into your PC and off you go. The router allows PCs in every room to be online simultaneously with no loss of speed. Only one broadband account is required and ntl:home has some fantastic package deals for students.

Not only does each condominium come with internet access, it also includes a fully equipped computer. The resort also has Wifi onsite.

All of the on-campus residence halls have direct, high-speed Internet access. If you have a computer with a compatible Ethernet card, you will be able to connect your machine to the university network and the Internet. To assist residents with connecting to ResNet, Information Technology Services (ITS) has established a ResNet Help Desk (available by calling 5-2666) and a ResNet service center located in the main lobby of the Cheyenne Arapaho residence hall.

Yes. ResNet, the high-speed residential computing network at WMU, provides an ethernet connection to both WMUnet (Western's network) and the Internet for a fee. To make arrangements for this service, visit the ResNet Web site. The University does enforce an Acceptable Use Policy and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act regarding downloading or sharing copyrighted movies and music. Judicial action is taken for violations. Personal wireless hubs are prohibited in student rooms.
