We like to see at least one follicle greater than 18 mm and the remainder of the follicles at least 15 mm. These sizes correlate to oocytes that are mature. The follicles may become larger than 18 mm which will not present a problem.

If DHT-related hair loss is not treated appropriately, eventually the miniaturized hair follicles are permanently destroyed. This process is called atrophy and the atrophied hair follicles are replaced by scar tissue. A scalp area with hair follicle atrophy looks bare and shiny and will not respond to any product or medication.

Unfortunately after the hair follicle has atrophied, it is permanently lost. However, if Revivogen? is used at any point during the hair miniaturization process, the hair follicle can be protected from DHT assault.

Follicles are usually considered mature once they have achieved a size of about 18mm. Also, follicles continue to grow until they release, usually at a rate of about 1-2 mm per day. A woman may ovulate more than one follicle in a cycle, but the releases will occur within 24 hours. When hCG is not used, only follicles close in size are likely to release. The use of hCG induces ovulation in about 95 percent of women, and will get most mature follicles to rupture.

The amount of time it takes from the start of gonadotropins to the day of release by HCG injection varies among individuals. On average, 10 to 14 days of gonadotropins will be necessary. The retrieval will be scheduled when the follicles reach adequate size. The larger the follicles get, the easier it is to predict the date of retrieval.

Males usually range between 29" and 34"at the shoulder with a weight range between 110 and 160 pounds. Bitches must be at least 27.5", but can reach the height of 32 inches, and have a weight range between 88 and 120 pounds.

According to different studies, 3-4 follicles gives one the best chance of getting pregnant, while more follicles beyond that simply increases the risk of multiples.

You have a choice. If we transfer all embryos into recipient mares at the time of the flush, you may have multiple foals the following year. However, it increases your chances of having at least one foal in case one of the embryos doesn't make it. If you don't want the chance of multiple foals, then you may want to consider flushing at 6 days, freezing the embryos, placing one in a recipient and keep the remainder frozen.

The ultrasound is useful as an estimate of the number of follicles we may get at retrieval. Numbers that are lower than expected may come from oocytes that are not detached from the wall of the follicle or oocytes that didn't get aspirated. Remember that the oocytes are microscopic so we can only see the follicle on ultrasound. There are times when we get more than expected but this tends to be less of a concern.

Between 1500-2000 hair follicles, therefore please plan to be here for the appropriate number of days, which is dictated by the number of hair follicles you are having placed.

They're not very big. The typical Chinese fine needle measures .25 to .30 millimeters in diameter, and 30-50 millimeters in length. The diameter is similar to your own hair. If you're installing just one amplifier, the fuse at the battery should simply match or slightly exceed the fuse rating of the amplifier itself. If you're installing two or more amplifiers, just add their fuse ratings together and install a fuse rated roughly equal to this sum. Generally, it's better to go slightly higher than lower, but a margin of five amperes is acceptable.
