The Notre Dame Licensing Department has compiled a list of vendors which are approved to print Notre Dame items for student groups. A vendor must be chosen from this list regardless of the design. Your monitor is only capable of displaying a fixed resolution, and displays in RGB (Red Green and Blue light). The printed output, on the other hand, depends on a much higher resolution and CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black inks). As a result, printing a screen-optimized image such as a web page is tantamount to a printing disaster.

If you are using a recent version of Acrobat Reader, and your printer successfully prints other types of documents, then the most common cause of Acrobat printing errors is a missing or damaged printer driver. Try uninstalling/reinstalling your printer, and be sure that the installation process uses the driver that comes on the printer's installation CD or diskette. The default printer drivers that come with Windows can sometimes cause problems.

The screen printing process is different than printing something on a flat piece of paper. Because material is porous and the number of colours is restricted to four (4), it is difficult to get screen printing to duplicate a photograph entirely. In most cases we are able to get an excellent reproduction. Photographs are best reproduced in a heat applied transfer.

You may mix and match styles, colors and sizes as long as the imprinting and ink color are the same. We realize that not everyone needs 1 dozen so if you really just need one or two we will still print it for you... for the price of 12 of that item! As commercial printers we could never offer such affordable prices without a minimum purchase.

Because your monitor is broken. No, seriously it's because you're probably designing the job in RGB (Red Green and Blue) color mode which is the industry default for most graphic applications. We are a four color printer so when you submit a file as an RGB we have to convert it to CMYK (Cyan Magenta Yellow and Black) color mode. The Reds, Greens, and Blues will lose value after the conversion and it won't look the same. We require all of our files to be submitted as CMYK.
