Depending on the nature, location and severity of the violation, fine monies may be distributed among the county fish and wildlife advisory commission, the state fish and wildlife preservation fund, and the local court. The county fish and wildlife advisory commission and the state fish and wildlife preservation fund may then use the monies to create new or enhance existing recreational fishing and hunting opportunities.

Funds collected under this section shall be applied to the operational costs and enforcement of this ordinance, to reduce the number of false alarms received by Miami-Dade County, and to reduce the time spent by Miami-Dade Police handling false alarm calls.

The money collected from false alarm fines goes into the general fund and is used to offset the costs of the program.

For donations made online, the Arthritis Foundation receive these funds instantly. All other donations (check or cash) should be turned in to your Team Captain. Team captains are responsible for turning in their team's funds to the Arthritis Foundation.

Of the citation fines, 57% are remitted to the local jurisdiction wherein the citation was issued, and 43% are remitted to the Public Safety Education Account (PSEA). These funds are used to promote traffic safety education, highway safety, criminal justice training, crime victims’ compensation, judicial education, the judicial information system, civil representation of indigent persons, winter recreation parking, drug court operations, and state game programs.

Most of the income from Penalty Charge Notice ("Parking Fines") is used to pay for the costs of enforcement. These include the costs of employing the Parking Attendants, the administration staff involved in collecting the fines, maintenance of signs and lines and other associated costs.

Several violations do carry low fines for the first offense. The ordinance seeks to educate violators rather than punish through monetary fines. Depending upon the severity of the violation, a civil citation could be issued using one or more different sections, or if warranted, allows the department to request criminal prosecution through the States Attorney's Office. The Washington State Patrol does not set fines for speeding and traffic violations. The base penalty is set by the Washington State Supreme Court (RCW 46.63.110 ) but does not include statutory assessments, which are set by the State Legislature. The Division of Parking Services is not supported by the state and is an auxiliary division of Kent State University. The University does not contribute financially to Parking Services, and no mandatory student fees are used to support the departmental budget. Parking Service's operating budget is built entirely on projected income from student and staff permit sales, meters, special event parking, parking fines, the Student Center Visitors lot, conference, and workshop parking.

We return fines collected to the relevant fee-blocks in the following financial year. The final amount of fines collected in the year can only be established at the end of March. Enforcement of the Stage 3 requirements will be accomplished through daily patrol by City staff, including patrol officers. If you return the books on the next day of a Library closed-day, your books will not be fined on the closed-day. All the fines must be settled when the borrower returns the books. Until a borrower completely settles the overdue fines, his/her library privileges will be on the suspension status.
