Adding new domain names to your TurnKey Mail Service requires 2 steps, first you will add the domain name via the Mail Administration tool in your customer care panel. Second, you will need to configure the domain name for the proper MX (Mail eXchange) record at your Registrar. NOTE: Dedicated TurnKey Mail Server customers will access the TurnKey Server Administration Panel, and access the Email Manager interface for adding domains.

Once you have configured your account for a specific domain name for email service, you need to make sure your domain name is configured to utilize the TurnKey Mail servers. This is done through specific domain name configurations, called MX (Mail eXchange) records. When you purchase a domain name, through a registrar, you typically have access to a specific control panel where you can configure your domain name. You will need to configure your domain name to have 1 MX record (i.e.

A TurnKey Internet POP mail account is an email box that allows you to receive email sent to your domain name. This is separate from your existing ISP, dialup or web-mail account email. If you wish your domain name email to be delivered to your existing email address or another ISP you can configure that via our admin panel (see next question) as a mail forwarding box.

Those on the TurnKey Mail Complete Service plans have a specific limit of email accounts and domain names, as provided for in which service plan you signed up for. First, as with any domain name that you want to use for e-mail, you need to either (1) sign up for e-mail service with a third-party provider, or (2) operate your own mail server for e-mail. Many companies that offer hosting services also provide e-mail services, and other companies provide web-based e-mail services. Dedicated TurnKey Mail server clients can manage their entire server from the 'TurnKey Mail Server Administration' screen. You can use this account or have any mail sent to this account forwarded to any other valid email account that you wish. By having your own POP mail account you have established a permanent e-mail address that you can use regardless of how many times you change service providers. You have the option of canceling your email account after any quarterly billing period.

If you already have a domain, you may use that, or you may have us purchase a new domain for your website. You can have more then one domain name point to (forward) to your website.
