This is what is know as a Flash movie. I created it using Swish, this software allows you to quickly create flash movies without the need to understand Macromedia Flash.

The Space Trader Sim Message Board is the forum for the design stage of the official Orion's Arm Space Trader Sim - a shareware computer game that will be set in the Middle Interplanetary age, about 250 years from now. Later titles will also extend to the immediately post-nanoswarm era. It will incorporate both roleplaying elements and space sim (including space combat).

We use a device called a Video Capturing Card(V.C.C.) to capture those movies off my vcr. It is not that very expensive and can be bought around 50$-150$, depending on the quality of the device. I have ATI's All in Wonder Pro which cost most around 100$ and I have Real Producer G2 to create those movies into Real Player Format(.rm). If you decide to buy a V.C.C make sure your computer is compatible with it and if you don't know if it is compatible ask the store manager or employee.

First, check the Index, Archive, & Message config; make sure your Archive Method is not set to "Index". If it is set to Index, change it to Thread. The best way is to use an FTP program, you can find one on our page. When you have an FTP program it will ask you for the name of the server you want to connect to. This will be ftp.cintek.com. It will also ask for your username and password. Make sure that you enter these in lowercase. This is all the required information, you can ignore all other settings. When the program connects, you will be put into your home directory.
