The white part of the eye (sclera) is covered by a clear layer of tissue (conjunctiva). When a tiny blood vessel breaks, the blood becomes trapped below the conjunctiva. Ickones by Aquasonic is what i used a long time ago when i had ick in a tank containing clown loaches its quite safe to use if u have scaleless catfishes or loaches. Turn your heater up to about 29-30 Deg and make sure you have an airpump on to keep the tank well oxygenated. I would use Waterlife Protozin or Wardley Ickaway. When it comes to PMC, though, work needs to be burnished before polishing, and usually I find that the burnishing provides all the shine I want. If you were to skip the burnishing stage and move directly to a rotary polishing buff, you would find that the polishing compound cakes into the microscopically prickly texture of a PMC surface. Instead of being polished, the piece will appear dirty. Not what you want!

A large pile of snow crystals looks white for the same reason a pile of crushed glass looks white. Incident light is partially reflected by an ice surface, again just as it is from a glass surface. When you have a lot of partially reflecting surfaces, which you do in a snow bank, then incident light bounces around and eventually scatters back out.

When we go through the editing process, some pictures might get spot colored if we feel that they will be a more powerful image that way, however, for the most part, spot-coloring is an outdated fad and we only do it on images that we think will strongly benefit from it.
