When should I apply? The deadline for fall admission is May 15, but we start admitting students early in February. Applications that are received after we have started the admission process have a reduced chance of admission because there will be fewer open positions remaining. For fall applicants, we recommend that the application be mailed no later than mid-January in order to have the best chance of admission. The answer to both questions is yes.

There are no minimum GRE score requirements. TOEFL scores must be above 250. The iBT minumum score is 100.

Initially, we advise an international applicant to attach photocopies of his/her score reports with the application, but official reports issued by ETS will be required before full processing of that application will take place. In some instances, the Graduate School will accept certified copies of these reports.

For international students, the TOEFL exam is required and must have a computer based score of 173 or higher,a paper based score of 500 or higher, or an internet based score of 90 or higher.

The Graduate Record Examination is a requirement for admission. Please take the GRE test and submit your scores to Institution code 1839, Department code 4401. It takes approximately 6–8 weeks to have the score reported to the University, so please make arrangements so that your scores will be received before the January 15 deadline. We must receive official scores, photocopies and tests more than 5 years old are not acceptable.

No minimum score has been set. Offers of admission, however, are based on merit and evaluation of the applicant's potential for academic success. Standardized test scores, therefore, are considered carefully and are an important element of the admissions process. In order to qualify for on-campus housing you must be a matriculated student. However, on-campus housing is very limited and is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

SAIS has no minimum GRE or GMAT score for M.I.P.P. applicants. However, M.I.P.P. applicants who have spent less than two years at an institution where English is the medium of instruction and whose native language is not English are required to submit a TOEFL score of at least 600 on the paper-based exam, 250 on the computer-based exam, or 100 on the Internet-based exam. Aoplicants submitting IELTS scores must score a minimum of 7.5.

OSU requires a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all previous undergraduate and graduate work for regular admission to graduate school. We require the general GRE exams; we do not require the GRE subject exam. (The average total GRE score for Statistics/Biostatistics students arriving with TA funding in autumn of 2001 was 1974; the median was 2020.

TLI ??" Asia Pacific does not establish a minimum score level for either test. Admission into the DMP is based on competitive evaluation. Applicants??? GRE and TOEFL scores are two of the criteria evaluated. The recommended GRE and TOEFL grades are based on that indicated on Georgia Tech???s website. These recommended scores are subject to change without prior notice at Georgia Tech???s discretion.

For the paper-based exam, a total score of 600 or higher is required, and the scores for each individual section must be 60 or higher. For the computer-based exam, a total score of 250 or higher is required, and the scores for each individual section must be 25 or higher. These TOEFL requirements are strictly adhered to by the University. The University cannot issue any visa-related paperwork if TOEFL scores are below the stated minimum requirements. No exceptions.

For foreign applications, we require a TOEFL score of 600. While your GRE score is important, we have no specific cut-off for GRE scores, and consider the GRE score to be just one part of your overall application. All applicants must submit a GRE score to be considered for fellowships or graduate teaching assistantships.

Our department does not have a minimum score requirement for the GRE. In order to be admitted to OSU, the Graduate School requires international student applicants to achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (IBT), 213 (CBT) or 550 (PBT).

The minimum TOEFL score requirement to apply is 500 for the paper-based tests, and 173 for computer-based tests. TOEFL scores must be less than two years old.

International students have to score a minimum 213 (computer-based); 550 (paper-based) or minimum IBT (internet-based test) - Speaking (23), Listening (19), Reading (19) and Writing (15). The scores can't be older than two years.

The minimum TOEFL score to be considered for acceptance is 630 (paper-based), 267 (computer-based) or 100 (Internet-based). Applicants who have earned their degrees from an accredited United States higher education institution are exempt from the TOEFL.

There is no minimum GRE score. Our incoming students usually score above the 75th percentile in all areas.

We do not have a minimum score requirement for the GRE and subject GRE. The Admissions Committee evaluates your entire file. We do, however, have a minimum for the TOEFL. You must receive a minimum of 600 (paper) or 250 (computer). TOEFL scores over two years old are not acceptable. We do require the general and subject GRE tests to be taken. Failure to take the subject test will severely decrease your chances of being admitted, as almost all applicants take the exam and report a score.

Getting a visa depends on your luck. There are several Indian students here who have low GRE/TOEFL scores and have got Visa. On the other hand, we know of many Indians who did not get a visa to UA due to their low scores. However, getting a visa to UA is not as hard as getting a visa to some other universities.

The department code, leave blank. That will get your official score to the Admission's Office who requires the official report. They will then forward the scores to our department. If you wish, you may send unofficial reports directly to our department, however, the Admission's Office still requires official reports for your application to become complete.

If you are not satisfied with the GRE and/or TOEFL score you achieved on your first exam, please do not e-mail to request an evaluation of your score and/or to inquire as to the probability of your being offered admission based on those scores. Our Admissions Committee does not make decisions based on standardized test scores alone.

The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences does not use department codes, as all application materials should be sent to the admission office only.

These tests do help but are not mandatory as far as the admission into a university or college is concerned. However, the students, whose academic records are not good, they may take these tests to support their claim for admission.

If you have not used the correct institution and department codes, we advise you to either mail or fax (412 268-5576) a copy of your GRE and TOEFL score reports, in addition to requesting an official copy from ETS. Yes, the TOEFL is still required. However, you may either mail or fax a copy of your previous score report, if it is more than two years old.

The minimum score required on the general GRE is 70 percent in the analytical and quantitative sections. However, this is a minimum requirement, and applicants who are offered admission generally have much higher scores. There is no minimum score for the GRE subject test.
