A Webquest is a student project using only computer sources. You will have a Webquest due for the midterm as well as for final assignment. Go to the NSS Press home page at http://www.nsspress.com and click on the Webquest topic. Please read the introduction and then follow the chosen task that you decide to do for the Webquest. Make sure you do at least four double spaced pages. All internet sources are found on the Webquest page.

You will receive a congratulations e-mail message when your WebQuest is accepted. If a WebQuest fails to meet the standard for posting in the eMINTS National Center website collection, e-mail will be sent to the submitter explaining how the quest can be improved and resubmitted.

That is fine. We know not every WebQuest written is ready for submission. It takes significant time and effort on the author's part to prepare a WebQuest so another teacher can pick it up and implement it. During your career you may choose to submit some WebQuests while you don't want to polish others for publishing.

All WebQuests that were submitted before the new criteria were established (January 2006) will still be evaluated and posted under the old criteria.

eMINTS wants the quality of WebQuests to continue to improve. After using a WebQuest with their classes, teachers often find things they want to change. Rather than changing WebQuests that are already posted, the new process offers WebQuests that have been tried and adjusted to meet the needs of real students in real classrooms. New WebQuests will be marked with a symbol () indicating they were evaluated and accepted under the new criteria.

The eMINTS National Center website will provide a link to WebQuests that score 65 points or higher on this scoring guide.

The eMINTS website does not actually host teachers' WebQuest content; it provides a list of links to WebQuests posted on their classroom websites. If you leave your district or your WebQuest's URL changes for any reason, please send e-mail to emints-info@emints.org to specify the new URL where it is posted so others may continue to access it. Since WebQuests are hosted on teachers' websites eMINTS has no way to update or change them.
