AMD usually affects the central vision only. This means that the peripheral (side) vision remains intact. By using the side vision efficiently, some people find it possible to read large prints. This may be slow initially, but with persistence and training, reading may become faster. In addition, there are a number of techniques and equipment that help people with AMD use the remaining vision to its fullest. For this purpose, evaluation by a low-vision specialist is recommended.

A15. Request status will be sent to the command retention team (CO, XO, CMC, CCC) via monthly message. Messages will be released by the 14th of each month.
