Myrtle Waves is South Carolina's largest water park with over 30 slides and attractions and 1.2 million gallons of water. There are several options for lunch and fun snacks including Funnel Cakes, Pizza and Ice Cream, as well as souvenirs in our Tropical Trading Post.

Sundays are by far the slowest day for the water park and will forward you the greatest opportunity to ride the greatest amount of slides of any other day of the week.

Wind is the most common cause of surface waves. The longer the distance a wind blows, the stronger it is, and the bigger the waves. As wind blows over the ocean, it tries to pick up some of the water. Because the surface of the water can not move, it rises. Gravity pulls the wave back down into the ocean. However, the water now has momentum. Water pressure from below pushes the water back up, and the cycle starts again.

A tsunami generally consists of a series of waves, often referred to as the tsunami wave train. The amount of time between successive waves, known as the wave period, is only a few minutes; in some instances, waves are over an hour apart. Many people have lost their lives after returning home in between the waves of a tsunami, thinking that the waves had stopped coming.

Both normal ocean waves and tsunami waves can be described by their period (time between two waves), wavelength (horizontal distance between waves), amplitude (wave height), and speed. Normal ocean waves are caused by the wind, weather, tides, and currents. They have periods of 5-20 seconds, wavelengths of 100-200 meters (300-600 feet), and travel at speeds of 8-100 km per hour (5-60 miles per hour).

In the summer, we get a south swell so there are many spots that break very consistently along the west coast. Lahaina, Launiopoko, along the Pali highway, Maalaea, Cove Park in Kihei are typically good spots. In the winter, the north shore is usually excellent - Honolua Bay and S-turn in the Kahana area, and Hookipa and Paia usually going off.

Transverse and longitudinal waves are the two major classifications for waves in physics. A transverse wave can be created by shaking a string or rope up and down. Although the string is moved up and down, the energy from the oscillations moves perpendicular and away from the vibrating source. The oscillations in longitudinal waves do not vibrate perpendicular to the direction the wave is traveling, but instead oscillate in the same direction the wave is moving.

That depends on the place you choose to go to. Generally, Catalina, Cambutal, Venado, Chiriqui and Punta Burica are as consistent as any other good surf destination in the world. Bocas and Isla Grande (Caribbean spots) are less consistent during August, September and October, but very consistent from November through May. We have waves most all the time, but we can't guarantee waves 100% of the time. No tour operator can.

Radio, like optical light, is a band of wavelengths in the Electromagnetic Spectrum. The Electromagnetic Spectrum characterizes all light by its wavelength or frequency. Objects in the universe radiate electromagnetic waves in all the bands of the Electromagnetic Spectrum, not just optical light. The waves average from knee to chest high. The reason for these gentle waves is a barrier reef 1 mile off shore which breaks down any large swell. Our beach is perfect for surfing instruction.

In 2001, for the men, any time faster than 4:20 will be put in the first wave. The split time for women is 4:35. All times WILL be verified so do not bother trying to “pad” your times! Nothing can ruin a race for others faster than people getting into the first wave when they have no business being there. In the past many people “paded” their times — some by more than 1 hour — to get into the first wave.

Yes! Although the waves on the North Shore are smaller in the summertime, there is plenty of fun surf in other parts of Oahu. The East Side gets plenty of wind swell, and the South Shore and West Side pick up the south swells.

Our plants are grown using organic processes. We use no chemicals on the plantations as the plant is not attacked by insects or diseases. We undertake intensive farm management practises to maintain the plantations in perfect order, free of chemicals. Specifically, we mulch heavily under the trees to duplicate the ground cover of the rainforest.

The Rideal-Walker test assesses the anti-microbial activity of a plant by examining the phenol co-efficient of a number of essential oil components such as citral, using bacteria salmonella typhii as a test organism. The test (in which the higher scores are best) awards Lemon Myrtle oil a co-efficient rating of 16; Tea tree a score of 11; and Eucalyptus citriodora scores 8. They are basic oscillations in the aether, which is a featureless kind of perfect fluid, probably not composed of any kind of particle. It's just a smooth medium - after all, in its raw form it is just "the vacuum" - but it manages to have some amazing properties. In raw form, possibly all it can do is transport waves of oscillation of its "state", phi. Quite whether phi is distinct from aether density I'm not sure. I think it can only take positive values.

Derived variables relating to Waves 1 and 2 are due to be deposited in the first half of 2007. Wave 3 is likely to be made available towards the end of 2007.

Hua Hin : There is no surf, but choppy waves and some locations have flat water. We have 5 km of beach to play with, which makes for great downwinders, practicing tricks and wave riding the chop. Water temperature is warm all year round, so a pair of shorts will do. Koh Samui : All the spots we teach in Samui are in sandy bays, some with outer reefs to keep the water flat and some without. Depends on the time of year and wind and wave conditions. Kites to bring would be the largest you have.

Our location is ideal for learning and getting good waves for both longboards and shortboards. Within a short drive or boat ride there are breaks that will stimulate any surfer.
