Career Services is on the mall level (north end) of the Andersen Library building. Enter the building from the mall entrance, marked #13, closest to Hyer Hall. Career Services is directly to your left. If you enter the building from the mall entrance closest to the library, marked #12, turn left and Career Services is at the end of the hallway.

In addition to services provided by the Coordinator of Career Services on Knight Campus, academic counselors on all campuses are available to offer some assistance with career decision-making. The Marshall School's Career Resource Center (CRC) provides support to all Marshall MBA students including IBEAR self-sponsored participants. Cornell Law School’s Career Office has a professional who dedicates his time to facilitating interviewing opportunities for employers who would like to interview LL.M. degree candidates— usually large firms that hire an LL.M. graduate for a one- or two-year internship. The majority of LL.M. graduates return to their home country to teach, practice law, govern, or pursue other options. J.S.D. students typically pursue academic opportunities in their home countries.

Absolutely! A document in your Graduate Packet will notify the Career Services Office of your need for placement assistance in your field of study. A representative from the Office will contact you to get the process started. Once you are enrolled and logged into your classes, you are eligible to utilize the services within the Career Services Office.

Temp services generate mostly temporary positions. That's the area in which they concentrate. It's far less likely that a temporary service will have quality, career positions on file because employers are less likely to seek permanent employees from a temporary agency. They will call Career Concepts first. Temp services also tend to be job fillers, not job finders. They have neither the time nor the orientation to make "cold calls" in your behalf to local employers.

Yes, our offices are specifically designed for both individuals and groups to use the resources available. It is preferred that you phone ahead of time for a group booking as the self-help area is often in demand.

We recommend that all first year students visit the Career Services office to become familiar with the many resources we offer. For 1st and 2nd year students we offer resources on choosing a major and have research material for students to learn more about specific careers and occupations. We also offer self-assessment inventories which help many students in defining strengths and talents which can make choosing a major or career more clearly defined.

There is a great deal of shared information between the Counseling Services Office and the Career Center. You may get help from either place.

Career Services assists students, alumni and community residents in acquiring the skills necessary for a successful job search and provides extensive information on numerous employment opportunities. Resources are also available to assist students seeking admittance to graduate/professional school.

Students who were enrolled in Franklin Career Services are not covered by the Agreed Order entered in the Decker College, Inc. bankruptcy case. If you had a loan from Decker College, Inc. that was either transferred to Wilson & Muir Bank & Trust Co. or Citizens Union Bank, then your loan will be released regardless of which program you were enrolled in.

The OCS Director and advising staff are available to provide job-search advice and to review résumés and cover letters for alumni. Using our database of alumni organized by employer, job title, and location, we can also often provide names of other alumni for you to approach for career-related information and networking.
