WNN was the first nationwide news program to broadcast over the Internet. Broadcasting began on November 23, 1995, exactly 32 years after the debut of "Dr. Who." It petered out some time after that due to the shaky nature of the broadcasts and the setup getting messed up, most likely by agents for Microsoft breaking into the ABCNews offices sometime during the day when (we think) nobody's around and messing up the Macintosh on which it ran.

World News Now is the most amazing, incredible, wonderful, witty, clever program on television today. It is the cutting edge of both television reporting and humor. It's the greatest program ever made that was not legally "Star Trek."

Although local stations may vary from it, the national feed includes ads for Ovaltine, Pepcid AC, Gold Bond Medicated Powder, and several ABC videos. Most every local feed includes a few mattress advertisements. After a long period of charmingly low-key Ovaltine commercials, a relatively slickly produced set have been unleashed on the overnight community.

This is something some viewers have encountered; namely, the affiliate says it would like to carry WNN, but does not have the time slot available to carry a minimum of two hours--which they will say they are required to carry. It is an unofficial center for everyone who spends their nights pining away for the majesty that is WNN; people who remember the days of Aaron Brown and Lisa McRee; people who still don't quite understand why they don't wear black armbands when the Dallas Cowboys lose anymore. The reflector panel is made of semi-rigid vinyl and is stable up to 120°. An LED forwardly projects light in a narrow and well-defined cone of illumination. Placing a reflector behind an LED will contribute nothing to increasing light output since there is no light to reflect. Adding a reflector to NightStar would only increase the unit cost and complexity.
