For centuries, ceramic tile has graced the surfaces of temples, homes and buildings and provided an excellent material for containers and utensils. Discovered and enhanced by the ancients for its enduring qualities, ceramic tile is generally identified by its red clay content. Typical uses for ceramic tile are countertops, backsplashes, vanities and flooring. Requiring a stronger material than ceramic, porcelain tile is developed by composing finer bisques, finishes and firing methods.

The physical difference between Conductive and Dissipative tile is the range of resistance. The conductive tile resistance range is 2.5 x 104 to 1.0 x 106 . Dissipative tile has a higher resistance range going from 1.0 x 106 to 1.0 x 109. Our dissipative tile however stays between 1.0 x 106 to 1.0 x 108. Therefore conductive tile has less resistance and a more direct path to ground.

Wall tiles are generally more porous, which helps with their adhesion to walls, the glaze is used more for the appearance, and is resistant to detergents etc. On the contrary, floor tiles have low porosity, with low to medium water absorption, which will give them better technical characteristics, as the glaze is more than the look, it is also used to prevent wear and promote scratch resistance.

The composition is what makes the difference. Ceramic tile is made of clay either white or red, Porcelain tile is made of porcelain. Porcelain offers less absorption of water, it is virtually impervious and has more sheer strength to it.

NBP's Econo Black - NBP's own formulations - This molybdate black goes directly on zinc die cast. After the molybdate coating is applied, the parts are submerged in a seal composed of chromates and phosphates that enhance the salt spray resistance of the coating. Floor Finishes are based on the percent of solids. For example, an 18% floor finish when applied to the floor, 82% will evaporate away, leaving 18% of what was applied on the floor. Any cross link or metal interlocking floor finish, like Maverick or Splendid, will leave excellent results. Urethane Fortified finishes, like Linx or Urethane Fortified Propane Burnish, will work better in high traffic areas.

With the biscuit, the porosity and strength will vary. The glaze will also vary in quality and hardness. Size, straightness and calibration in a lower quality tile will often be inconsistent. Vitrified tiles are unglazed tiles. Their polish is achieved by very hard materials and they are very very strong and durable, whereas porcelano tiles are glazed tiles and their durability is as good as the durability of the glaze applied over them. And glaze are not hard and scratch resistant as the vitrified tiles.

The VIPS system is a process done in five or six stages depending on the condition of your paintwork. Our technicians assess each vehicle individually. Not anymore. I can't justify the environmental dangers, especially in crowded Southern California. I have a finish person, who on a scale of one to ten is a ten and a half, and he has an environmentally sound booth with protection for himself that I can't replicate.
