There is an active community of freeware adventure game developers. For more on freeware games go to the Underground section of this site. Some companies offer old games online as freeware. For instance, you can get Beneath a Steel Sky legally for free at ScummVM. It's important to note that although we support the preservation and availability of older games, it is illegal to download "warez" or "abandonware". You will find no such links on this site.

Yard sales and thrift shops are your best bet. As for places online, you might have luck at eBay, CD Access, Amazon or Playing Games Interactive. There's also GameTZ, a community designed for trading used games.

Ideally we would have liked to have a more equal distribution of games for each genre. But fact is that there are a lot more action games on the market than adventure games. We wanted the book to resemble as closely as possible the games that are available and hot on the market today. GO Adventure is Lifeschool’s new name for our outdoor adventure programs for youth ages 12-18. All home games are played at either Beverly Hills Park or El Franco Lee Park. Typically teddy bear teams are played at home but sometimes we partnership with an adjacent club and play games there. Older players play about 1/2 of the games at a home field and the remaining games at other clubs. Normally the travel time is 15 to 20 minutes or less. The farthest clubs are Galveston, Baytown and Crosby but it is unlikely you will travel that far.

Necronomicon, like most conventions, offers a number of games, both tabletops and freeforms, from a range of categories. Most conventions will include some horror, science fiction, fantasy, and comedy. Some games will be run using a particular games system, although players rarely need to have rules knowledge, and others will be systemless.

Shadow Games Inc. is a non-profit organisation which has as its major aim the promotion of roleplaying in Sydney. The main way Shadow Games does this is by running conventions. There are two conventions each year that are run by members of Shadow Games - Sydcon, currently held over the Easter long weekend, and Necronomicon, currently held over the October long weekend.

Note that only games for real money are recorded and saved. Once you click on the "game history" button in the game lobby, a "game table" window opens and an "open file" window which directs you automatically to the "saved games" folder in the Play65™ program directory. Download disk images (e.g. .dsk, .nib, .2mg files) and use these as virtual disks to play the games on a PC or Mac via Apple II or Apple IIgs emulator software. Popular Apple II emulators include AppleWin and Apple Oasis. Normally disk images will be in .zip or .gz compressed form when downloaded. Use WinZip or a similar utility to uncompress these files. Download and uncompress the disk images of games you want to play. Then, transfer the images to your Apple II (or IIgs)-- e.g.

All Intramural Cadet and Junior division games, and Mites Boys games, are refereed by CYBL-paid and trained Chelmsford High School Boys and Girls. Intramural High School division games are refereed by CYBL-paid, professional (High School and/or College-level) Referees. Intramural Mites, Cadet, Junior and High School games also have CYBL-paid and trained Official Scorers and Time Keepers.

ML): A 50 adventure score is what you start an adventure with. Based on successful and unsuccessful actions (getting knocked out, retreating, missing traps, bouncing off stuck/locked doors, etc.) your score goes up or down. As long as you're above 50 score you always get what EP you earned. When your score is below 50 you start losing a percentage of your EP based on how far below 50 you were.

Campers taking a trip check in and out of camp just like other campers. After arriving at Camp Tecumseh, your child will be introduced to the trip counselors and other campers going on the trip. Typically, all trips leave the next morning by riding in camp's comfortable, wide-body shuttle. Trippers return to camp on Friday evening before dinner.

Adventure racing is a sport that involves racing, usually in wilderness terrain, along an unmarked course consisting of a series of checkpoints. Adventure races typically have three core disciplines: hiking or running, mountain bike riding, and kayaking. Very often, adventure races will also contain sections involving rope skills. The adventure race course is marked on maps which are distributed at the race start, so navigation skills (especially map and compass skills) are key.

Absolutely! We have lots of people over 65 - in fact entire busloads of seniors have jetboated. Our record holder is 92 years old.

We accept applications during the whole year. The best time to apply, however, is in the early winter to start training in the early spring. This is the time when most placements are available. We strongly advise you to chose that period. If you do, you can expect placement much faster then in the summer. Applications received in late spring or in the summer often wait 2- 4 months until placements are available. In the winter we are usually able to find a placements in just a couple of weeks.
