Some vehicles may, or may not, come with certain options. This requires us to include pieces that can be used in the different variations that are possible for that particular vehicle. You use the pieces you need and discard those that you don't. This way you get consistent color and grain patterns, since we make each kit from one piece of wood.

AutoAnything is aware that many vehicles these days come with dash kits inside, but generally not as much wood or carbon fiber as our customers would like. We have therefore created "Factory Match" dash kits that are made to compliment the existing dash kit in your vehicle. We cannot guarantee an exact match due to the fact that not all trees look exactly alike, but they are extremely close and most customers are extremely satisfied with the match.

Many times we offer "master" dash kits that include pieces for vehicles spanning several model years or vehicles that are upgraded in some way, such as optional overhead console or center console for bucket seat versions. You would use the pieces that apply to your vehicle. Many times there are vehicle models with options for fog lamps or airbag indicators, so extra pieces are included to accommodate those options.

You certainly can, simply by using our easy step-by-step instructions for installing a dash kit. Almost all of our customers perform the installation by themselves. With so many choices of wood trim kits and carbon fiber kits to choose from, selecting the right kit for your vehicle is a very important decision that can give your vehicle the exact look you are trying to achieve. The first decision is whether you want a Classic Dash Kit or a Molded Dash Kit. If you look at the two dash trim kits above you will notice that the kit on the left has a curve that wraps around the dash. This is a Molded Dash Kit.

Absolutely! These dash trim kits were made for you, the non-professional, to install. If you can lick a stamp and place it on an envelope, you can install a dash kit. There are no tools required, and you don't even have to lick the back of the dash kit pieces. Many team members at AutoAnything have installed their own dash kits and can testify that it is not difficult.

The best way to care for your wood kit or carbon fiber kit is to keep it out of the sun as much as possible. AutoAnything recommends a UV Shield for the ultimate protection. If you do not have a UV shield, try park in the shade as much as possible. If you spill on the dash kit use a damp cloth and water to clean the kit.

Most dash kits ship within 2-5 business days. Many kits are in stock and may even ship that same day.

The simple answer is yes and no. ((grin)) over 90% of my patterns are uncut or unused. The few that are it will depend on the pattern envelope condition and tissue, if poor then I try not to disturb the envelope if I feel it will damage it more. If tightly and neatly folded I will not disturb as I can never get them back to the original, otherwise, they are counted but I am human and have been know to miss a pc or two. ;).

They can be created by mixing patterns. Window #310 has been so popular, we have made it one of our patterns (9293). There may be others in the future. The manual collection is a nice resource for Designer’s and Workroom’s alike.

YES! Doll patterns with pattern pieces are included in most issues, set up so the pattern pieces can easily be printed for use. Want to include your own doll patterns? Submit it!

If you can easily slide your finger on your dash and it feels oily that means you have a layer of armor all on your dash. It doesn't matter how strong of adhesive you have it will still not stick. Take a cotton towel with alcohol and deep clean your dash with it. Rubbing each part for 2-5 minutes. You'll need 10 packets of promoter and put a lot of promoter on the area where the dash pieces will be applied. Let it dry.

We have some kits available as a supplement to factory installed wood trim. These additional pieces are made with what we label "factory match". These pieces add to but do not replace existing wood trim. It is important to note that these kits are manufactured to complement factory installed trim, not aftermarket trim installed for or by the dealer. If you are not sure if your trim is factory installed, check with your dealership.

Yes you can. Keep in mind, most factory wood dash trims are molded so small areas of the original wood dash trim may be exposed.

Although color is a very personal thing, we do have general recommendations. Grey interiors look very sharp with a Rosewood Dash Color Finish, while Tan interiors are very well suited to the Burlwood Dash Color Finish. This is not to say that there aren't gray interiors that look amazing with Burlwood Dash or Tan interiors that don't look great with a Rosewood Dash. A popular option these days is the carbon fiber dash kit.

The antenna must be placed on the exterior of the vehicle to ensure optimum performance. Being that GPS is a line of site satellite system, any obstruction between the antenna and the satellite will interrupt the signal and degrade performance. Just place the antenna on the roof, run the cable through the door and tuck the wire behind the seat and out of the way of the driver.

The dash kits are thin flat pieces and molded pieces (depending on which dash kit is purchased). The flat dash pieces are about 1/12th of an inch thick with the polyurethane coating and 3M adhesive tape backing. The pieces only cover certain places on the interior. This dash kit is not a replacement for the entire plastic dashboard in your car.
