Because it takes up to 6 weeks for the department to receive GRE scores from the testing centers, you should FAX a copy of your test results to the department as soon as you receive them. (Please note that many times we do not receive the testing center copies. Therefore, all applicants are required to send copies of their scores to the department.) The GRE exam can be taken any time by computer testing.

Applicants must have the USC required minimum of a 3.0 undergraduate GPA but a 3.5 GPA is preferred. A high master’s level GPA does not override the 3.0 undergraduate GPA requirement. However, the admissions committee will take the master’s GPA under consideration when evaluating the student’s overall application package. But that student would need to achieve at least a 3.0 GPA the first semester in the program.
