The East West School is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to offer continuing education credit for the Community Herbalist and Professional Herbalist Courses. No other materials are required in addition to what is included with each of the courses. However, it is recommended that students read herb books and related subjects as appropriate, and we offer a selection of useful books which may be purchased if desired.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) provides Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for successful completion of professional education courses. ERAU maintains an official transcript that indicates all courses completed and a record of CEUs awarded. This transcript will be made available to you (see below). No. TDLR does not accept partial completion of a continuing education course. However, a provider may allow you to finish the course at another time; when the course is fully completed, the provider will transmit the completion record to TDLR. Yes. TDLR requires the provider to monitor licensee attendance for all courses, including computer-based and on-line courses. You cannot repeat a course within a three-year period and receive credit. We change our courses about every year to eighteen months and generally check to see if students are repeating a course of ours so that it can be changed.

Continuing and Professional Education courses must be formally dropped via a signed drop form, just like main campus courses using the Schedule Adjustment Form.

To be eligible for a refund, courses must be dropped before 15% of the scheduled course time has passed. Tuition refunds/waivers will not be made for courses dropped after this date. Please be aware that informing your instructor of your intention to drop, or failure to attend or participate in the class, or failure to pay your tuition bill, is not evidence of an official drop and will not result in tuition charges being waived.

Once your qualification has been issued your relevent peak body should you be required to join one, may require you to prove currency, before re-accreditation. This “currency” is measured via attaining CEC’s (Continuing Education Credist). Recognised CEC courses are the only way you can attain these credits. Most full day seminar held by ICK attracts around 5 CEC’s.

Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate specifying the CEC's from your certifying organization and a Certificate that states you have completed the Continuing Education Course so you can keep for your records.

A certified electrician may take continuing education from; a community college or public school district or public educational institution, or a state-licensed private post-secondary institution under contract with a public educational institution, community college or public school district that offers classes relevant to the certification category.

You can find TDLR approved cosmetology continuing education provider and course information on TDLR’s Cosmetologists web site under List of registered Continuing Education providers and courses for Cosmetologists.

Providers are required to submit to TDLR your continuing education course completion information. If you have taken a course from one or more providers, each provider must transmit that information to TDLR and also issue you a certificate of course completion. TDLR will make the provider course completion information available on the web site for your review and you can Check the CE courses you have completed.

Courses which are not approved by TDLR as continuing education courses can not be used for license renewal. If the college course is a TDLR approved continuing education course, then the course hours can be used for license renewal. However, the courses must be taken during the period of the license being renewed.

In order to receive continuing education credit and recognition for your achievement, you must pass the final test with a minimum score of 80%. If you are unable to achieve this score on the initial attempt, you will be given one more opportunity. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are a nationally recognized measure of skills or work-related training gained in a continuing education course that meets established criteria. One CEU represents 10 class hours of participation in courses so designed. Continuing Education courses do not earn academic credit. A Continuing Education CEU transcript may be requested from the registrar’s office at no charge.
