BBCode is a special implementation of HTML. Whether you can use BBCode is determined by the administrator. You can also disable it on a per post basis from the posting form. BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML: tags are enclosed in square braces [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed. Style settings for DQSD are defined in the search.css file. User overriding settings are defined in localsearch.css. These files have definitions to control the look and styles of the toolbar. As new features are added which require new style settings, new entries will appear in the search.css included in DQSD releases. The search.css file gets overwritten during the upgrade process.
